We found that people report their symptoms less thoroughly when they believe to interact with an AI rather than a human doctor. This subtle shift in user behavior can directly undermine the quality of AI-driven medical assessments. Now published in Nature Health: www.nature.com/articles/s44...

Happy to share my latest research, now published in JAMA Network Open: doi.org/10.1001/jama... We find that physicians who disclose AI use are perceived as significantly less competent, less trustworthy and less empathic compared to a control condition.

Happy to share my latest preprint on public attitudes toward AI-using physicians. Our findings, based on a US-representative sample (N = 1276), indicate that physicians who claim to use AI are perceived as less competent, less trustworthy, and less empathic. doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.2.16041.71529
