Rebeca Bernal’s time with the Washington Spirit has come to an unexpected early conclusion. Manchester United has acquired the Mexican international before the WSL transfer window closes this Thursday. She will leave behind a legacy that cannot be measured solely by the length of her stay. Bernal joined the Spirit from C.F. Monterrey in February 2025, signing a multi year contract after a remarkable career in Liga MX Femenil that included four league championships and more than 250 appearances.

ICE sent them away under a controversial policy without knowing where they were going or what would happen next.

We are delighted to confirm the signing of Spanish international goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez on a permanent transfer.
