Still working on it but I'm adding the "Journal" menu which is a kind of in-game wiki with characters and lore. It gets updated as the player progresses. Rough Trigger will be lore-heavy so expect to see a lot of entries in here when it releases. #screenshotsaturday #indiedev #gamedev #monogame

I added a profanity filter to the game for those something like that might interest. Nolan in particular has a very colorful language. This small feature also allows me to post "cleaner" samples of the game on social media. #monogame #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

A colorfull update today for #screenshotsaturday. I added color retargeting which basically means I can reuse the same tiles (complete with collision and other info) without duplicating sprites or data. I might have overdone it with the colors a little, though #monogame #indiedev #pixelart

Can now fire and reload weapons while moving. The sprites are now twice as large as they were and still feature eight non-mirrored directions. Because mirroring sprites would look silly in a game a with a one-eyed protagonist #indiegame #gamedev #pixelart #monogame #pixelart

Re-implemented the phone menu in the new Rough Trigger build. The phone menu is the game menu where the player can call NPCs to get tips and lore. It's also where you call an extraction or quit the game (among other things) #monogame #indiedev #gamedev

Inspector Waffles, a cat detective, is on a balcony, overlooking the city. A cat is sunbathing behind him.

Inspector Waffles is in front of a shop called "Paw(n) shop" (pun intended).

It's a backstreet with some potential clues lying on the ground: an opened can, papers, a vent and a bag of sugar. There is a mouse pointer, player can check these objects with it.
