Centrism / Liberalism is extremism. Absent of intellectual / moral red lines. Capable of anything to take power. UK Unions should disaffiliate. Stop funding Labour's austerity attacks on workers. Stop funding Labour's genocide complicity.

The 16 month sentence was 100% for burglary/ice-cream theft during the riots.

Drugs, theft, violence get a bit of prison time. Single murders and rapes get a bit more prison time. For genocidal war criminals w tens of thousands of systematic executions on their hands 'prison time' doesn't really cut it. It's another level of evil that needs another level of punishment.

Starmer handed out a 16 month sentence to someone for eating an ice cream in the 2011 riots. They served 8 months and afterwards may have been deported. If that's what eating an ice cream gets you. I think it's rational to want the death penalty for genocidal war criminals like Starmer and Lammy.

Neither Lammy or Starmer are 'sickened' by this. Lammy has decided, based on whatever his priorities are, that facilitating a genocide in Gaza is preferable to him, than whatever he'd lose if he acted against the genocide.

The raison d'etre of a 'new regulator' is to occupy and obstruct the space where Nationalisation should be. In the same way the raison d'etre of Centrists in Labour is to occupy and obstruct the space where an actual Labour party should be. Neither exist to actually do anything. Just deny space.

Robert Peston’s ‘that’s how it came across to me’ line doesn’t wash. That’s what a US cop says after firing 28 bullets into a Black driver’s car. “They may not have done anything threatening but 'I FELT threatened', so my actions are justified.” Peston’s 'feely interpretations' don’t trump reality

There are so many hilarious YouTube videos like: 'Get AI to animate for you!! Free! Easy! Automatic!'. Where 90% of the video is manual editing to solve the errors in the generated animation. It'd be quicker to learn to animate! And the result would be what you want - not an approximation!

I utilise AI every day. If anyone claims AI is capable of independently producing anything to equivalent quality as an expert human they're dobbing themselves in as completely lazy. Sure, first image/letter/video/result out of the generator will do... 28 fingers and a gurning face? No problem.

The key thing to understand about people like Starmer, McSweeney, Wes Streeting, Rachel Reeves is that they're weird freaks. Not the good kind of interesting, quirky, unique freak. But the 'completely detached from society and humanity psychotic' kind of weird. This is the core of centrism.

Not much shocks me. I have the lowest possible opinion of Reeves and Starmer et al. But, for a multitude of reasons, I am amazed by this headline. These people belong in a mental asylum not in government. Reeves appears to be the thickest, most unqualified, least imaginative person in Britain.

I guess what I care abt is groups not getting in each others way. Easily avoided if they're in the same party. I don't care if a Green, Independent, or a 'new' Left candidate wins. As long as 1 does. If they stand against each other, I won't have time for any. Party/career ego needs to go.

I genuinely don't care about the Green party, Zack Polanski, Corbyn or Zarah Sultana. I care about the most optimum strategy to take the most votes (& constituencies) from Labour & Reform. That's all they should care about too. They best not get in each others way.

I think after watching Starmer - more people would be interested in him as PM now. Since 2017/19, the myth of Centrism sensibly 'sorting everything out' has met the reality of the vacuous incompetence of centrist governance. That leaves the Left / Greens or Reform for those who want something new.

More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 04/07/2025
It's people like McDonnell who, in 2020 kept saying 'stay and fight' that lost the left the last 5 years of building. In that same time Reform was founded and is now odds on to win the next election... Meanwhile McDonnell has done nothing in the Labour party. He is ignored & irrelevant.

Saying 'tax the rich' isn't lazy. The principle is entirely rational. There's no requirement for every person to lay out a personally developed full tax plan. That's what political parties, the government and those they employ are for. Voters just have to say what values should be embodied.
010
More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 04/07/2025
Sultana should join the Greens. So should Corbyn. They've fucked up. There isn't time to start a new party now. Unless they somehow magically come out this week with an entire national structure in place. Which isn't going to happen is it?
210
More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 04/07/2025
I'd love Sultana to be PM. But I aint voting for a party with 6 candidates across the country and just 4 years to the next election. 2020 was the year to start building. Now, we need to get a lift on the backs of the Greens. They're not perfect, but they exist and have the structure in place. 3/4

In that looooong, silent, absent vacuum caused by the absolute stasis of all prominent left wingers - the Greens have absorbed the homeless left. And they have an anti-genocide / anti-austerity / pro tax the rich leadership candidate. And NOW is the time to start a new left party? Come on. 2/3

More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 04/07/2025
As someone who's wanted a new left party in UK politics since Corbyn's 2020 suspension - now is an awful time to start one. 5 years too late. In that time the 'stay in the party and fight' lot have achieved.... nothing. Meanwhile Reform was founded in Nov 2018 & might win the next election.. 1/3

If you think the rich/poor dynamic is much different to US Civil Rights era you are underestimating the vast stratification in today's society. The rich are richer & more powerful than you imagine, our lives are much worse than you realise. Workers create near infinite value. Where is it?
020
More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
MLK's fight for civil rights was 'difficult'. The structural powers of his society were antagonistic and oppositional. There was no obvious provision or road to walk down. And he never fully succeeded before he was assassinated. Even so - what he didn't do is doubt the need to do it.
120
More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 03/07/2025
And I don't buy that it is difficult. Many successful countries have higher tax for the rich and big companies, as well as stronger rights for workers & those who need social support. They don't necessarily call it a 'wealth tax' though because it's just considered 'normal tax' to them.

"It's difficult to do, therefore we cannot try." Vs "It's easy to impose perma-austerity on the Plebs. They're already oppressed & without democratic representation - so let's do that instead." You can 'prove' this all you like, but it doesn't disprove the necessity of doing what's difficult.

Israel could be mounting the heads of babies on spikes around their towns and Starmer would still be calling it 'self-defence' and 'both sides'-ing it. And lets face it, Israel has spent the last 2 years doing a lot worse than putting babies heads on spikes.

When an idea comes into a Liberals head they think/act as though it's the first time it's been thought. When it's their idea is the only time they'll accept its legitimacy. Caused by: 1- an unreal Trumpian level of ego. 2- a mentally ill lack of self-awareness. 3- having never read a history book.

The complicity of British Media (BBC) and politicians re: their non-existent reaction to Israel boarding a British ship in international waters should be apparent to all. This is a Liberal-made genocide. Decades long complicity of the Liberal West has made Israel's wild extremism possible.

I presume liberals are boycotting the Andor series? I'm not sure how one could watch it knowing their social/political ideology puts them in opposition to every single aspect of the Rebel Alliance. Not just Luthen, but Andor, Brasso, Mon, Bail, Yavin etc Liberals wouldn't call Ghorman a genocide.

I find the ‘but they’ve cleared so much in 10 months’ claim genuinely baffling. Examples are not provided of course. People saying this are fully indoctrinated in the Labour centrist myth. No contact with reality anymore.

Reform can only capitalise because both the Tories and Labour have abused our democracy for so many decades - both allowing capture by lobby money and business. This is what happens when voters have zero genuine representation in parliament. This is only the fault of Labour/Tories. Nobody else.

More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 04/05/2025
Not all reform voters are in this position ofc. Plenty are house owning racists. But I presume they’re not pulling the ‘it can’t get worse’ line with any legitimacy. They’re more likely want to stick it to the incredibly obnoxious snob centrists who’ve claimed they’re the adults for last 30 years.

It depends who you are. Huge amounts of uk towns are apocalyptic dead ends. No life. No prospects. North is a different country to the south. For many, it could get worse for other people, but not themselves. Even a different worse might be enticing. Just to change what’s inevitable.

The left (not all b/c it's broad) were tired after the multi-year attacks on the project. It was never real - but the draw to a media-acceptable Starmer leadership was tempting. Centrist Labour exists to discipline the left. That's what they've learnt to be good at. They're terrible at governance.

More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 03/05/2025
It's difficult to know what to call them. They're non-genuine and don't care about democracy, governance, the party or working people. Their entire output is a construction of lies & myths. But they sniff their own farts more than anyone. And they end up the biggest believers in their unreality.

More Than @more-than.bsky.social · 03/05/2025
Centrism exists to discipline the left. To make sure the only kinds of government we can get are right wing. Centrism isn't centrist. It isn't even really political. It's a disciplining force to keep millions, potentially a majority, of British voters in check.

Why does Starmer's Labour Party seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Because it hates the left more than it fears the far right. As a result it won't do the "left" things so many of its potential supporters are crying out for.

Looking at the election results and Labour's response: It's almost as if every Centrist was born and grown in a bureaucratic, media bubble, never had a real job, incubator -and has never, ever held a conversation with a real person or come into contact with any aspect of reality in their lives.

Labour's disastrous plight is very easy to understand. The people who run the party were good at one thing: smashing the left. Destroying, not building, is their skill. They have no vision for the country. They're in power because the Tories imploded, and no other reason.
