SEC FILINGS ARE ALMOST ALL PUBLIC BY DEFAULT GOOD NIGHT
Forbes: SEC filings show Taco Bell-and other restaurants-knew cyclospora posed a risk to their businesses and the public.

Reply: Warned their investors but not the public

I see a very serious class action law suit

THE TWO MARKETS ARE VERY DISTINCT AND WILL NOT MEANINGFULLY IMPACT EACH OTHER DIRECTLY THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE IN COMMON IS SUPPLY CONSTRAINTS, BUT THE DEMAND FOR HOUSING WILL NOT GO AWAY REGARDLESS OF BROADER MARKET CONDITIONS NOW BACK TO CLOSING BELL
Anonymized post

looking forward to having both the genAl bubble _and_ the housing bubble burst at the same time (they're probably the same bubble tbh

THE SEMICONDUCTOR SUPPLY CHAIN DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY
POST BY MATT PARLMER

Apple could definitely make iPhones profitably in the US, and definitely eat the cost of relocation, and definitely would be better off as a company in the long run if it did so, but it would suck for current management so they aren’t gonna try very hard unless forced to do soMATT PARLMER POST ABOVE A QUOTED POST

Probably looking at $40b in capex, 18mos of spinup time, and reduced selection of models (no more project red or rose gold nonsense), but yes I think they could do similar gross margins at similar prices after all that, maybe even better if they vertically integrated it

QUOTE POST BY BOULDER DAD

Just to get you straight, you think apple could come over and start building iPhones tomorrow, profitably, at the current prices or reasonably close to that? Because hey I’m all for it, real jobs, building actual stuff, that people genuinely want. I just dont see it.

DEMAND IS DEFINITELY MEASURABLE I WILL DESTROY YOU
Post by Paul Coelho @individkid.bsky.social

I don't believe in supply demand economics. "Demand" is not measurable, so it is not real. Only supply is real, and developers put whatever price on their buildings that they think will protect them from risk of exposure as the gougers that they are. Empower local government to say no to gougers.

YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE YOUR OWN BANK GOOD NIGHT
Anonymized post: It was Obama's bailing out of the "too big to fail" banks that hurt me and so many other regular Americans. Both parties looking out for their fellow wealthy buddies...still. We're all we got.

SHORT SELLING IS THE PRIMARY MARKET INCENTIVE TO ACTIVELY UNCOVER BAD BEHAVIOR OF MARKET PARTICIPANTS GOOD NIGHT

BREAKING: Turkey has banned short-selling stock

jessekershaw.bsky.social

I actually like this. I don't think shorting should be allowed. If you don't like a company don't invest or invest in competition. Shorting often leads to disinformation to tank a stock

BOYCOTTS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY GOOD NIGHT
Skeet by Jessica (Ka) Burbank

Anyone who is "measuring" the impact of the economic blackout in terms of revenue has lost the plot.

Millions of Americans just learned how it feels to collectively organize against corporate power.

That matters, and the efforts to convince us it doesn't are proof of that.

AN EXPLICIT BAIT-AND-SWITCH IS NOT A BAIT-AND-SWITCH
Post by Jake Gold

Zuck was completely public about the fact that he'd launch Threads without ads and then insert ads once it had gained dominant market share.

Explicitly and shamelessly pulling a bait-and-switch on users.

FTC and Congress shouldn't allow something so blatantly anti-consumer and anti-competitive.

AMERICA IS MASSIVELY DEPENDENT ON CONSUMER SPENDING AND THE MOST VALUABLE GOODS IN THE COUNTRY RELY ON CRITICAL MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS THAT CANNOT BE MADE HERE. GOOD NIGHT.
Skeet by Jabari from NYC @independentblk.bsky.social

Our industry mostly doesn't depend on the global imports. We need to aggressively push the other countries to open their markets. Trump is right here and that's why so many working class people support him.
