Recently reached Lord on my boy Loki, AND rewatched Avengers with my friends, so the only sensible way to honor both was to doodle one of my favorite shots from the movie, clearly.

Rough doodle recreating the shot in Avengers from the "Puny God" scene, where Loki has just been smashed into the floor several times by the Hulk and is laying on the cracked floor in shock. The original shot is in the top corner.

🌹💎The Rose City Gems💎🌹 This is the master thread for a passion project of mine, a goofy romantic phantom thief comic. Updates will be 2 pages as I make 'em, between Court of Roses & all my other work. Pages 0-3. Let's go. Will also be posted in tandem on ComicFury: rosecitygems.thecomicseries.com

Cover for The Rose City Gems. Eight different colored gems are gathered together, each with roses inside of them. Above them are white silhouettes of Willow chasing Swee T.

A wide shot of a lavish estate exterior, at night. Another shot of a long hallway, quiet and undisturbed, lit up by moonlight from huge bay windows, with a landing at the end, showing a pink gem sitting on a pedestal. Finally, there’s a closer shot of the gem, glimmering with sparkles and sitting sweetly on a dark pillow. At the distant end of the hall, a figure peeks out from behind the pillar, gun in hand.
Willow: (narration) This is it. He’s gonna be here tonight. He’s GOTTA be.

A full shot of Willow, leaned back against the wall and peeking behind the corner. He holds his gun, looking tense. He has accents of green on his design, in contrast to the black and white.
Willow: (narration) Tonight’s the night I catch that “phantom thief,” once and for all.
Card: Willow Atwood, Private Investigator
A detailed shot of the pink gem, showing the rose preserved inside of it.
Willow: (narration) He’s pulled off some pretty hefty heists… but this is next level. The Rose City Gems are damn-near priceless.
Willow glances to the side, the brim of his hat covering his eyes. On the wall beside him is an active panel with a red light: the security system.
Willow: (narration) If he gets his hands on even ONE of them… let alone ALL EIGHT…
An upshot of the pedestal, showing a hollow pillar leading to the skylight above. A shade of a person stands at the edge of the window, the full moon behind him.
Willow: (narration) …well. I don’t know WHAT will happen.
A gloved hand holds a tiny ball in his fingers.
Willow: (narration) I never know what to expect with this madman.

Willow startles at a small “tink tink!” noise. The small ball bounces into rest at the base of the pedestal, and with a tiny click, it releases a thin, vaporous gas. In a view over Willow’s shoulder, he’s sweating as the smoke reveals all the lasers surrounding the pedestal. But, while he’s distracted, the same gloved hand is hovering over the security panel with a small device.
Willow: (Shit shit shit shit shit)
The device attaches, and sparks fly from the panel with a KZZZZRT! This catches Willow’s attention again, while the hand swoops upwards out of sight. The lasers vanish instantly.
Willow: (SHIT!)
A pair of boots swings over Willow’s head, and the dramatic silhouette of the phantom thief leaps through the air with his grappling hook, and lands deftly in front of the pedestal.

I just revamped my dnd Zelda species, and now the new Unearthed Arcana gives us a species with innate Find Familiar and special rules for it? I feel *so validated* in my Kokiri trait design LOL

@moonbunnyu2.bsky.social used her donathon doodles to have me draw my own characters in the games she DMs! First up is Beezelbub Tonic, a kobold artificer plague doctor who accidentally discovered microbiology! But with its discovery came a new fear - are we too mere specks to something greater?

fun fact: they found the original digital master tapes of all the Reboot episodes that we previously only had in VHS quality, refurbished the extremely rare and expensive tape machines required to play the masters, and are currently uploading them to youtube for free in 1080p! youtu.be/inKdUICLmXY

You know, after years and years of 5e sourcebooks, I have to say that my favorite sourcebook that I continue to use is actually Ghosts of Saltmarsh. It has the best "home base" of any 5e sourcebook, I feel- I'll gladly port all the businesses when making new towns in a new campaign.

I completely forgot I had a Final Form Strahd idea that I wanted to stat up at some point, wherein he fuses with his Nightmare steed to become a Nightmare Centaur, or as I call it, a Night Terror. Now might be a good time. (Night-Taur -> Night Terror, I am pleased with this play on words.)

I keep being intimidated by how much work I put out in the past and how much I'm not doing now by comparison. I kind of want to go back over all my old, start-of-5e era homebrew stuff and remake it for 5.5e. There's so much more I can do with that stuff now.

I always skip straight to the character options in any given dnd supplement I get, so when Professor Primula's pdfs went out a short while ago, I skipped straight to the back. Whoever decided to give Neanderthals the "True Human Variant" feature- you have earned a hearty laugh from me.

Used the dndbeyond custom subclass tools for the first time in a while so I could use a 3rd party one that didn't slip into the community 'homebrews'. I forgot how much crap they let you do with the customization. Official subclasses would never touch half of these options.

So far what I've got from the new Ravenloft book is that a lot of little tweaks were made that elevated different Darklords to a much better place as villains, and their Domains have more character now as well. Definitely makes me want to use some of them I didn't want to use from the last book.

It just now occurs to me that the Lorwyn Changeling species included in the Lorwyn expansion on dndbeyond could be so very easily reskinned as just "Pokopia Ditto." Shapeshifter easily recognized for what they are no matter what form they take? Yeah that checks out. Do with this what you will.

Been waiting to read Northlands until it was on dndbeyond, so now I get to be surprised by all the spells and monsters and class options. "Wotan's Retribution" spell has me wishing to see it used in a climactic boss fight. By the hero or the boss, I don't care which- I just want to taste the Drama.

Need to rework my Bystander species traits. Their main ability was gaining advantage on saving throws vs effects that require you to be aware of them, such as dragon fear or medusa gaze. 5.5e removed that requirement pretty much across the board, so, that trait will never trigger.

A Mii of Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 complaining about monogamy angrily from inside her dilapidated shack. On the left, a status card shows she is currently in a love triangle with Miis of both Cloud and Aerith, also from Final Fantasy 7.

Tifa says: "Monogamy?! Grrrr... I can't be bothered with that right now!"
