I did this stupid thing trying to build my professional wardrobe where, if a shoe was at a great sale price, I would buy it if it was within a 1/2 size of my actual size. But my actual size is actually a 1/2 size smaller than I thought. I need to let a lot of these go, huh?

Also, I think it's great that lawyering is just something I can do or not do depending on how I feel at any given time. I never really looked at it the same way I looked at, say, bartending. It's just another job and one of the least interesting things about me.

Transparently, I can't afford to be a public defender right now. I found a director role at a legal org that I'm sufficiently qualified for, so fingers crossed. I've got the JD, sure, but I also have 15 years of experience at something most attorneys suck at: management.

I've decided not to take the second job in BK and will continue searching for something closer to home/remote. I worked 1-3 jobs throughout 7 years of school with some garbage commutes and the entire point of 7 years of school was to never do that again. I will figure something else out.
