been very busy being upside down and running around at work but i’ve also been knitting away in my spare time!!! finished this guy and his jumper this weekend 🥹 he was going to be a gift but how could i be parted from him… my son…

saw this bizarre combo while in london for the first time (well. first time not doing no-exploring-time-circus-business) and could only think of other london.

a storefront with a green hand painted sign in a lovely font. the shop is called “F.COOKE” and has the term “live eel importer” also on the main signage. painted on the teo windows of this single building are the phrases “hot jellied eels” and “eye examinations”

OH and i have really sensitive visoon which means i am EXCELLENT at spotting wildlife. if there is a bird to be seen or a little movement in a pond, MY EYES ARE THERE. don’t know how much of this is autism/how much is being trained since birth by my dad/how much that’s the same thing

i’m autistic and i’m really good at connecting with people, especially kids! i’m very good at adapting my communication and finding things that work/are enjoyable for everyone. i also have really good mental imaging so i can see things i’d like to make very clearly like a little 3d modelling engine

the only way i can hype myself up to eat a whole apple is slicing it up and having it with a little chocolate bar as a little ritual. my dad used to do this for me when i was little and it is so delightful. just monching into an apple though? awful. especially since getting lip piercings

first project of the year finished!! some lovely cosy twined handwarmers to be sent to far and distant england. BABY’s FIRST COLOURWORK!!!! these were a mild ballache but ultimately a good bitta fun. having a row counter REALLY helped

yesterday, exactly two months after i got @stellartim.bsky.social and @benrlmeredith.bsky.social to draw some spirals for me, i got them tatted!!!! joined with a gorgeous pictish crescent/semi intentional symbol of artemis. thank you both for drawing such lovely spirals - they look fucking awesome

recent adventures in knitting gloves. one very tasteful pair for a friend and a pair that transform me into some sort of muppet for me >:)

a photo showing off a pair of fingerless cable knit gloves. they are made from a gradient yarn that is shades of green, brown, orange and yellow. they are quite long and have a four strand celtic knot design along the top of the hand.

a pair of blue and green tabi mittens, the fingers are split into two groups of two, giving the appearance of three puppet-ish fingers, or maybe a chameleon hand!

after leaving that job, finding one way better for my me and working to unmask i only ever feel that bone tiredness when i have been overdoing it with admin or socialising. if you’re using three peoples worth of brain power constantly it’s exhausting and might contribute to pre-existing fatigue?!

i still to this day adore my teachers so that lessened the hardness of school while i was there but afterward i would have no energy. when i got my first ‘normal’ job and the amount of unnatural ways it wanted my brain to work burnt me out so badly i got put on sick leave after a month and a half
