I think there are valid criticisms to be made against some synth manufacturers, but people acting like they are useless in a musical capacity are just wrong. If you can’t write a worthwhile song on cheap gear, you can’t write a good song. Run it through through a pedal, get punk, stop being silly

When we released EP 1 a couple years back, we very intentionally didn’t say much about ourselves. That was before AI music became rampant and faceless AI artists flooded the platforms. I think we’ll likely come out from behind the curtain a bit more for our next chapter. Still figuring that out

This week for the evening #FeatureFriday we have @monoeject.bsky.social and their EP1. From the deep, millennium Eurobass, to the early 2010's witchhouse vibe, this EP took me BACK. The bass on this was HEAVY (complimentary), and alot of the harmonies on the record were subtle (1/2)

Get asked a fair amount about our genre. It’s a weird question because idk the answer. We don’t have one in mind as we write. That said, genre can be a useful shorthand when introducing your work to new audiences. But being too aware of genre while writing can cause you to play to the gallery

Working on new music. Both M/E and other stuff We had an equipment failure about a year ago and lost an embarrassing amount of work in one blow, and it really took some wind out of our sails for a minute. But we’ve dusted ourselves off. Interesting to start hearing the difference a year makes
