modern car design is so incredibly hostile to anybody who isn't in a particular car and I can't stand it. I struggle a lot with modern headlights meaning I can't even look forward in the dark - particularly difficult during a british winter..

it's so tragic 😭😭😭 I think it's why I tend not to enjoy modern media as much, be it manga, film, or tv. this isn't even some nostalgia wanking, I don't think older stories or art is inherently better or anything. it's difficult to explain it.. I really like urasawa naoki's artwork fwiw

I tend to care less about art quality vs. the story. I can easily forgive wonky art if the story is good but I do like art that looks like it was drawn a bit more freehand. anything that is too perfect is the artistic equivalent of beautiful vs. fuckable if that makes sense

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, far from it. I said the execution was poor, not the story. I found kyouji's airheadedness and weirdness really charming somehow. he's so odd. needs to be between two glass slides examined at 1000× magnification

I do see why you said this, and I guess it is supported by the text but both characters felt so thin and underdeveloped even by the end of the story. it's a great shame, bc I did enjoy the story such as it is. as I said in other comments. it suffered from being so short

but as it is, it's a 4* story with 2* execution. the art was pretty good, as was the panelling I can agree on that much, and the music was banger but none of that was enough to rescue this story. it simply needed more

since it turned out to be so short I went and read it and tbh I thought that the pacing was really inconsistent, and between that and the short length it unfortunately drags down what is actually not a bad story. doubled length could have been transformative in so many ways

it just looks like any other bl story and perhaps it isn't, but nobody I've seen (until your earlier post) has done much to say why this one is worth reading over the ∞ others. people can post what they like, of course but I don't see this behaviour around other series even from the same people
