A vertical timeline graphic showing key milestones from 2016 to 2022 for a mental health and money charity’s campaigning work. Milestones include: the charity being founded in April 2016; a 2017 commitment to end charges for completing mental health debt forms; a 2018 government commitment to extend the Breathing Space debt respite scheme, plus banks introducing gambling blocks; and a 2019 launch of a Mental Health Accessible programme.
The timeline highlights major progress in 2020, including work with King’s College London and Citizens Advice, a government commitment to change rules on threatening debt letters, and mental health becoming part of the UK’s financial wellbeing strategy. In 2021, the Breathing Space scheme is introduced and rules on debt collection letters are officially changed. In 2022, funding for face‑to‑face debt advice increases and social media platforms are tasked with tackling scam ads. The design uses purple markers and arrows to show progression over time.A continuation of the timeline covering milestones from 2023 to 2026. Key points include: a 2023 training module for health professionals on money and mental health; the introduction of the Consumer Duty; and government recognition of financial difficulty in its suicide prevention strategy. In 2024, expansion into energy and water sectors and the launch of a Gambling Harms Action Lab are highlighted.
The timeline shows multiple campaign wins in 2025, including progress on council tax fairness, regulation of bailiffs, expanded mental health crisis support through the Breathing Space scheme, and new neighbourhood health services. It also notes the government dropping proposed changes to Personal Independence Payments.
In 2026, the organisation gains super‑complainant status with additional regulators, and government reforms council tax debt collection rules. The visual continues the same purple timeline style with dated markers and short explanatory text for each milestone.
