She was too afraid to report it. Fearful her rapist would have been killed by her ex-boyfriend's real brothers who were all members of that fraternity. I barely knew the little sister and have no idea why she singled me out to share what was the most horrific night of her life.

I was part of that scene 50 years ago. The things I witnessed and heard rumors of—chilling. I and two others physically stopped one impending rape and I sat in the dark every night for weeks with another who wasn't as lucky.
