This tiny ‘lookout’ house is one of the remaining buildings that were used to historically watch the Celtic Sea and English channel to guard against possible invading ships. Built in 1744. The large boulders located there gives scale to its tiny size.

It’s weathered and white paint flakes. Some internal upright posts have broken and it’s now unbalanced and doesn’t close properly. It’s now held together solely with single chain providing a closed barrier stopping access to the river. It’s adds beauty, there’s something charming about its character.
