That was my gut reaction because of Eck.

Anyone have a fun team that is batshit insane I can casually invest my Saturday watch time into? No heavyweights. Only fun smaller teams with a punchers chance because they’re crazy.

Nice of Michigan Football to give me my fall back. Maybe I’ll learn guitar. /spoiler: I won’t/

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I’m so glad I don’t have to cover this team. I went through this with Rich Rod. It’s someone else’s problem now.

STOP LOCKING ON MARSH YOU DUMBASS

020

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It would’ve been a two many m n penalty.

030

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

That punt decision by Marsh sums up the game.

001

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

The offense is a shambles. But damn you have to love the Michigan defense. No quit despite being on the field for an epoch.

000

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Michigan getting the highest rate recruit, whether an or rb is usually cursed.

030

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

No way that would’ve been completed.

030

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

No Joe Klatt. They can’t get it back.

020

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Me watching the last 5 minutes of this game.

050

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Do not ask about the status of his guillotine.

030

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

No clue why Minnesota threw there. Dumb dumb dumb.

040

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Gonna be shocked if Minnesota passes here.

010

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

But in fairness, who else was there?

220

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

At least the D got a few minutes to breathe.

000

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

They’re completely lost as to their assignments.

020

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This is bordering on Brian Ferentz efficiency.

010

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This may be the worst offensive line Michigan has fielded in 10 years.

120

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

What the absolute fuck is Beck calling?

050

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Bryce is trying. Goddammit he may have had a bad game but he wants to win.

080

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I’m no linebacking coach but his assignment is as clearly the back. I was looking at the end zone cam and two dab were directly behind him and he drifted inside when he clearly had the flat and the back.

000

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Agreed. But that’s basic linebacking. The cb and s had the end zone. He had the rb and despite staring in the backfield just lost him. That wasn’t a complicated play he blew.

000

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

The biggest issue on defense has been absolutely no linebacking worth a damn. The last touchdown was a perfect example of it. Starling had the back and froze staring at the qb allowing the back and easy score. Bad play and bad coaching.

Whit was at the time an “I can’t believe he’s free” hire. He just looks so lost now.

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

If they don’t win this game I don’t think they win another game all year. The team is just broken.

020

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This is just atrocious coaching.

050

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I do t even think it’s that. He’s just not reaching these kids.

200

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It’s actually stunning to me how mismanaged this season has been. Wittingham is a demonstrably good coach. I’m completely lost about what’s happening.

130

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I love this big dumb defense. The offense I’m ready to put in cement blocks and drop into the ocean.

050

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Gotta be honest this is pretty amazing strategy.

040

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Which is worrisome because my older son loves it so much, the little despot.

030

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It is an awful family destroying g game.

240

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

What the hell are you doing Bryce.

000

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

My older son coerced us into a game of monopoly, which he is insufferable when we play. Combine that with Michigan’s offensive line being total dogshit it’s been a lovely day.

Maize n Brew Dave @mnbdave.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This is just amazing. NW ran for over 400 yards, had two backs over 100 yards each, and generally ground penn state into dust. It was glorious.
