This Wednesday is #PurpleDay 💜 There are lots of things we could do to raise awareness of #Epilepsy but this year, I thought about my own personal experience of epilepsy and what really matters to me, as well as others with the condition I have come across. All I ever want, is to feel supported and accommodated for wherever I am in relation to my epilepsy. My condition is not who I am, it’s just an extra thing I happen to have. I always prefer people get to know me as a person first before telling them I have epilepsy because people can judge and make assumptions based on a lack of understanding and information. So this Purple Day, I ask people something so simple and easy to do: Please ACCOMMODATE people with Epilepsy 💜 Living with an incurable neurological condition is a heavy burden to bear but if everyone else is accommodating of it, it makes it so much easier ❤️ Thank you 💜View all comments
