Voyagers goodreads.com/book/show/2416… 2 out of 5. Well written, but an exercise in tedium. Somehow made an alien invasion boring.

Finally #31DaysofHalloween Day 1: Werewolf of London (1935). Universal's 1st werewolf movie. Not as good as Wolfman, and more a romantic drama, but this aint bad. Good story, surprisingly funny and Jack Pierce's makeup still holds up. Good start to the month. boxd.it/gzybzn

Finally watched #Supergirl and I dont get the hate. Its nothing special or amazing, but at worst, its fine. Milly is good as Kara, and actually goes on an arch. Mamoa is good as Lobo. Villian is bland, fight scenes are ok. boxd.it/gvIl6J

#CurrentlyReading Ghost Town by Tom Perrotta. Not my usual horror, but an Americana coming of age story of a boy in 1970s New Jersey following the death of his mom. So far, I enjoy it.

T Kingfisher spins a slow burn story about an illustrator and turns into a story of morals, love, revenge. Body horror, gross bugs that will make your skin crawl. And an ending that leaves our protagonist not completely in a better place. 4 ⭐️ out of 5. #HorrorBooks #Horror #GothicHorror

boxd.it/gf8M4z #Obsession was damn good. Top notch acting from both leads. Nikki is the clear victim here, while Bear starts as a victim of his own m8stakes, but becomes an abuser as the story unfolds. Ian is the villian l, and Sarah did not deserve that. Horror is in good hands with Barker.

Feel like #Xmen97 took a minor step back in S2. It wasn't bad, but felt like it tried to do too much in a 9 ep span...also, 9 ep? 1st 4 were good. 5 was a fun side quest, 6 felt like it could be better spent. 7-9 were all solid, but the whole season is lesser than the sum.

#Undertone (2026) is an example of how important sound is to horror. The first 40 min are slow, but it ratchets tension with subtle work, building to a chaotic climax of madness. Would've like to see 20 min taken off intro and put in end. boxd.it/fOgH1D

#SlaughterhouswFive left me disappointed. Non chronological stuff isn't really my thing, but this felt like someone got high and wrote a stream of thought. I was told Vonnegut changes your life, but I'm already aware of the issues the author is highlighting. Maybe I read this when I was too old.

#Greenland2 isnt bad, just generic, and a little repetitive. Also, kinda undercuts the 1st with all the life going on. Butler carries this with a solid bit of acting. Emotional beats are there, which makes bc this is basically Land Before Time boxd.it/eIODez
