Like I just keep seeing “to all the XYZ shippers, it’s not gonna happen, you’re being delusional” posts and I’m like, since when was shipping dependent on that ship actually becoming canon? I would LIKE to see these characters together, regardless of what canon does. That’s why fanfiction exists.

I’m not sure when the rebuttal to people shipping something became “it will never be canon!!!” Okay? Even more reason for me to ship it, then?

Seconding. Fire Island is so good. Plus, as someone who loves Austen but is bored to death by P&P retellings, this one was both interesting and delightful. And you can definitely enjoy it without caring about Austen at all.

Having now listened to the acoustic versions: I VASTLY prefer the acoustic Ruin the Friendship, and also like the acoustic Wi$h Li$t too. That one part at the end of Elizabeth Taylor is also incredible but otherwise I prefer the original. Acoustic TLOAS is also fun but not better than the original.

Ruin the Friendship is actually well written, and I think the twist makes it compelling, I just don’t really like how it sounds unfortunately

TLOAS would be higher if I didn’t think the first verse was some of the worst writing she’s ever done. Eldest Daughter would also be higher without the verses—I think the chorus is fine actually, but the verses don’t work.

I think this is where my ranking is at: 1. Father Figure 2. Wood 3. Elizabeth Taylor 4. The Fate of Ophelia 5. Actually Romantic 6. The Life of a Showgirl 7. Opalite 8. Honey 9. Wish List 10. Cancelled 11. Eldest Daughter 12. Ruin the Friendship 1-5 are pretty solid, the rest I’m less certain of

Catching up on 911 before the Eddie Diaz (who will be gay) centric episode later this week , and I once again have to say that May and Harry being regulars is so much fun. And I love May, Denny, and Mara running a makeshift shelter in the firehouse!

I don’t think the song is 100% about Blake, bc Selena, Sophie, and other celeb-friends of TS faced stupid backlashes over the past couple years, but there’s a 0% chance it has nothing to do with the Blake Lively drama of it all
