When Mixed 4x4 was announced I hated it. Now I love it. So I’ll wait to see how this goes. Exchange zone gonna be exciting or an absolute shit show!

Some serious talent! Will be interesting to see which of them can achieve consistency. Thats typically the biggest issue for young 400 talent.

And the older you get, the less sprinting you should do. At a point the risks far outweigh the benefits. As I’ve gotten older I’ve continued to go slower and longer. Now I only hike.

100% agree. My only criticism is it felt a bit disjointed vs season 1. I don’t think people appreciate the difficulty of making a retrospective docuseries like this. Still think most (avid and casual fans) found it entertaining. Big question is will there be a 3rd season?

Really tough choice between Tara and Gabby for me.

If this is going to work we probably have to started replying instead of just liking. One thing that made Threads slow down significantly after a great start is it was boring. I’ll try to do better.

Since the Paris Olympics we’ve announced over 35 Olympic medalists and finalists as @grandslamtrack.bsky.social Racers. Last week we announced Kingston, Miami, Philly, and LA as our host cities. I couldn’t be prouder of our progress. Thanks to all the fans who continue to support us! More to come!

Thanks Broadcast Sport for the recognition! Thanks to BBCSport for 22 years! Thanks to all the Athletics fans for your support and all the appreciation and kind words. Nothing better than “working” to help fans have a more enjoyable viewing experience of my favorite sport!

-In my opinion it’s doing what we hoped, by highlighting the sport to a broad audience and attracting non track fans to the sport. -Of course there’s room for improvement. Season 2 felt rushed. Probably due to a quicker edit turnaround, but necessary to capitalize on the Olympic momentum. 5/5

-Before SPRINT, “We need Drive to Survive for track” was a constant refrain from avid track fans. Now we have it and some are saying “I’m not watching” and that hurts the sport because it’s likely to hurt chances of another season of the only current programming that puts track in mainstream. 4/5

140

-Most complaints have come from avid track fans. In many cases wanting things that probably would’ve gotten the show cancelled after season 1. Primarily wanting their favorite athlete included. -Most non track fans I’ve spoken with loved both seasons, with some having become first time fans. 3/5

130

-Athletes are featured based on personality, winning gold, and interesting stories. This is the model for modern mainstream entertainment vs the antiquated amateur sports model of “all who work hard and achieve good results are deserving and included.” This is hard for track people to accept. 2/5

Perspective on SPRINT on Netflix. -Netflix and the producers objective is to entertain a large audience (not just track fans) with captivating content. -Big difference between entertainment programs and sport programs. This is intended to be an entertainment program. 🧵1/5

And don’t get me wrong, I want to be challenged, and it’s okay to disagree. Thats what makes for useful dialogue, and fun.
