Great performances! Fun to think about his potential. But even with such great potential, realizing it is a whole different thing. The greater the potential, the higher the risk. He’ll need a solid team around him to help him navigate the journey.

Some strikingly similar arguments between the "how to save the NBA" and "how to save track and field".

What track & field social accounts fit this criteria: -Reasoned perspective on issues. -Goal to break news or inform fans. -Unafraid to be unpopular. (But not deliberately unpopular just for attention.) -Spreads facts, not known untruths. -Covers sprints & hurdles as much as distance.

Potentially a big development in the race to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games with South Africa holding talks today with the IOC in Lausanne. An African country has never hosted the Games. It is widely expected that if they do bid, then Cape Town would be the city they put forward.

If this is going to work we probably have to started replying instead of just liking. One thing that made Threads slow down significantly after a great start is it was boring. I’ll try to do better.

Perspective on SPRINT on Netflix. -Netflix and the producers objective is to entertain a large audience (not just track fans) with captivating content. -Big difference between entertainment programs and sport programs. This is intended to be an entertainment program. 🧵1/5

Okay I’m here. Haven’t left X but I’d like to. It’s been the best platform for dialogue, but too many people there are uninterested in productive and thoughtful discussion which is what I’m here for. I will reply and engage with followers. But if it turns to same as X, I’m out. Let’s have some fun!

In August I extended an invitation for an athlete to join Grand Slam Track but they were not interested. It was understandable, at the time we had only announced Sydney and Josh. Three months later their agent reached back out and fortunately I still had a spot — they just signed.
