1st time for 2026 volunteering at the rehab facility & it was a powerful reminder of why I volunteer, talking with patients about the challenges of life after #stroke but also celebrating the wins, whether it was the hearing how they spent Xmas with their families or seeing them walking again.

Thrilled to announce the publication of my first first-author paper in the Journal of Neuroscience Methods : "Long term direct visualization of the photothrombotic cortical infarction through the intact skull of anesthetized mice" 🧠✨ doi.org/10.1016/j.jn... #Neuroskyence #Stroke #Neuroimaging
HIGHLIGHTS
• Photothrombotic stroke leaves rose bengal fluorescence in the cortical lesion.
• Fluorescence stays visible for weeks through the skull with low-cost imaging.
• This method enables precise lesion extent in vivo under anesthesia.
