I agree. He was trying to use it as an example of something Iran could do (they can’t; a terror attack is more likely than a nuclear tipped missile from them) as a justification for his war and garbled it. Notably, he speaks barely comprehensibly very frequently which is also a problem.

a big part of being a good president is being smart about who to listen to, and organizing your office so you get good advice. trump is a uniquely terrible president bec (a) he refuses to listen to anyone who disagrees with him about anything, and (b) if you flatter him he'll do anything you ask.

The choice to wait until after the midterms says a lot about how well/quickly they expect it to go. Ending the war before the election would be a boon for them so they clearly don’t think there’s a high probability of that outcome. They expect it to go badly enough that it would hurt them.
