Mistigram: #LeonardoDaVinci, the original Renaissance man, who created the Mona Lisa and invented the helicopter, is here drawn in newschool #ASCIIart by @axb.bsky.social . This portrait was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
An old man's face, framed in long, sweeping hair and beard, looks out of the darkness into the distance and sees the future.

Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

Mistigram: if you haven't yet enjoyed today's dose of CONTENTover social media, @atonalosprey is here to remedy this lack with his #teletext dispensation, now conveniently packaged in capsule form! This screen was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
A jaundiced person brazenly displays on their tongue the capsule of content they are about to ingest.

Mistigram: in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack, Cthulu was explicitly looking to adapt imagery suggestive of Mist's origins in area code 604 (aka #Vancouver) and one place his search brought him was artist-author #DouglasCoupland's 2009 sculpture #DigitalOrca, installed in #CoalHarbour.
A pixelated sculpture of a killer whale seems to leap into mid-air, while the sunset lights of North Vancovuer reflect in the water behind it.

It was also sent to the edge of space, though this particular artwork wasn't shown in the final video of that (probably because it's too much of a pasty-che)!

Mistigram: Nitron visited area code 604, traditional stomping grounds of Mistigris, over the summer, and was moved to draw this view of Downtown Vancouver's West End (and the North Shore mountains behind it) across False Creek from Kits Beach on a forest fire smoky day.
Beachside apartment blocks are seen from across the water, with green mountains and a hazy sky behind them.

Mistigram: this screen may not look that intrinsically political to you, but @illarterate.bsky.social has here illustrated one of the planks of #CountBinface's recent campaign against Nigel Farage in Clacton, capping the temperature and price at which croissants are served and sold.
This diagram depicts a hot, flaky croissant served at the correct temperature and price.

Mistigram: I'm not exactly sure what this #ANSIart screen by @Mavenmob depicts, but I know that his works are often informed by music, so ... this just might be Mother Love Bone caught in the act of inventing grunge! This piece was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

Mistigram: if you've ever felt a little confused by the mixed weather during the turn of the seasons, @pixelblip.bsky.social has you covered with this #BBCMicro hirez screen of a #rainbow struggling to emerge through the murky moist miasma pervading a park.
In a foggy park green, someone sits on a damp bench while watching another person attracting attention from an airborne flock of birds. Above them, through layers of mist, a rainbow is dimly visible.

Mistigram: Rick has been running one BBS or another for 40 years now, a milestone celebrated by fellow SysOp Darkman Almighty in this #ANSIart screen of a desktop computer that might well have been there at the start of his spree.
An early IBM PC model sits in a wood-panelled room, displaying WELCOME TO RICK'S in green on its monitor.

Mistigram: some minimalist artforms are primarily concerned with outlines, others with the use of negative space. Somewhere in between is this monochrome approach, in the vein of the #BitmapBrothers ' memorable logo, drawn in #teletext by @atonalosprey.
A forearm and hand textured with alternating black and white horizontal lines differentiate themselves starkly from a background composed entirely of alternating white and black horizontal lines.

Mistigram: this #blockASCII logo for the recursively radical 'Diskmags Are Rad' diskmag was drawn by @darokin and included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
Graffiti-style letters, a little drippy at the corners, read DAR in grey against black, leaving a little shadow beneath them as if they were spraypainted on a pane of glass a few inches in front of a wall.

Mistigram: #CountBinface, since making the revival of Ceefax one of his campaign pledges, has been beloved of the #teletext community, and they were prepared to endorse him this summer as he ran as the protest candidate against Nigel Farage in the parliamentary constituency of Clacton.
A dread space emperor wearing a garbage can as a sinister helmet poses nobly in two-tone Shepard Fairey propaganda style.

Mistigram: #ANSIart and #bonsai, both aesthetically beholden to severe constraints, might have more in common than you expected! @conchaos.synchro.net drew this ANSI illusrtation of a tiny tree and included it in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
A tiny bonsai plant, presenting the appearanced of an aged, full-grown tree, slowly sprouts from a small rectangular blue container.

Mistigram: it's always a good moment for a little textmode #surrealism! This monochrome screen, "Under the Spell", was drawn by @littlebitspace.bsky.social & won 3rd place in in the Flashparty #PETSCII compo, almost a year ago. It was also just included in the unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
Beneath a starry night sky complete with a crescent moon, two vague human figures with obscured arms huddle side by side in the grass beneath a levitating parasol. (Paralun, I guess.)

Mistigram: this pseudoreflective logo was submitted as monochrome #pixelart by @nouscentric, but Cthulu thought it could be easily adapted to textmode and given a #LiteBrite colour treatment for extra punch, so we ran it like this in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
in a square-ish box drawn with dotted lines are written the letters nous in dots, the s reversed. The bottom right terminus of the n runs as an underline across the o and u, then joins up with an inverted version of the logo at the same relative place to where it started. The bottom left terminus of the n joins up with the bottom of the inverted, reflected s across from it. All of the dots step through a colour gradient, against a black background.

Mistigram: like the groundhog emerging from his storied hole, everyone is excited to once again catch a rare glimpse of #MitchMcConnell's profoundly furrowed neck, here illustrated in #teletext by @atonalosprey for reasons that can only be chalked up to the stark randomness of the Muse.
A close-up on a wretched old man's undulating untoned throat flesh

Mistigram: Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... This #blockASCII (uncoloured #ANSIart) illustration of #shark #jaws was drawn by @axb.bsky.social and included in last month's new unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.
Open wide and say ahh... cleanly removed from the rest of its body, the sharp, tooth-filled maw of a shark reveals its pearly whites.

Mistigram: for this year's 24th edition of the #TotalDOSCollection, VileR drew an #ANSIart scroller entirely concerned with time, as explored in classic computer games. This is a small excerpt of it, adapting #EricChahi's introductory graphics work in Delphine Software's 1989 #FutureWars.
Above a series of dark clockwork cogs, a man washes skyscraper windows on a gantry platform. The windows reflect a yellow-skied urban cityscape behind him, except for one which is opened, from which the washer is being addressed by someone inside the building.
