My sister recently lost her beloved dog, Sprout. And having seen @lindadiakquilts.bsky.social latest work, I was inspired to try to memorialize Sprout for my sister. It's not perfect but I am happy with how it came out so far. The quilting will be a challenge for me for sure.

The photo labeled A is an ssk experiment. I’ve never been a fan of how the (ssk = slip, slip, knit) as a left leaning decrease looks when compared to knit 2 together, the right leaning decrease, so I experimented with various versions of the ssk, which all looked awful.

My kids are the best. They arrived early yesterday morning to help us clean our garage. Several hours of hilarity, two trips to the landfill, beers at the local brewery and home-cooked brunch this morning. My daughter made the walnut bread and my son cooked the French toast. Proud to be their mom.
