So the chungus and I are about to head home. He’s doing much better. I’m obviously thrilled but also haunted by how poorly this surgery recovery began, and not overly confident about my nursing skills. And I think I mentioned how a dog in pain is the most heart wrenching thing to see.

Visited the chungus. He went from zero appetite to”Im a hungry puppydog,” likely because of the appetite stimulant, maybe because it was me feeding him. Even did a little walk. You have no idea how happy that makes me.
