You shouldn't apologize for harmless art. It's a fun trend and anyone who says otherwise is being antagonistic. Your art is amazing, thank you for all your hard work!

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

Forgotten Island is a fucking treat. High energy, deeply earnest, beautifully animated, and genuinely funny. Please give it a watch if you haven't already! Or rewatch it, it's a movie that benefits from rewatches.

The best part of being an artist is that you can just draw whatever dumb idea comes to your head at 1am

A scene parodying the Neon Genesis Evangelion scene of Asuka and her Eva unit getting pierced by the spear of longinus. In this scene, Linguini and Remy from Pixar's Ratatouille take the place of the EVA unit and Asuka respectively. Linguinis eye is pierced by a fork version of the spear and Remy is depicted in an inset where he is grabbing his eye and screaming like the anime. There are anime subtitles at the bottom that say "AHHHHHHHHH!"

Imma be real honest, I have such a hard time trying to resonate and connect to the animations and choreography with the generated music. The music was a fraction of my rewatches esp MUI Goku vs UE vegeta and SSJ4 Goku black vs SSJG Vegeta

do you know what happened to the band SANOVA back then?? recently they started including genAI in their mv, music covers, and I believe their music????(they said they're releasing singles each month but that made me even more suspicious)

000

minty_style @mintystyle.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

it's such an unfortunate timeline to live in cuz I've even had a music artist I use to follow, now coming back to make music but finding out they used genAI for their mv, music covers, and I believe their music too???(they said they'll release music ever month, but that made me even more suspicious)

minty_style @mintystyle.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I feel like if he wanted rock and metal upbeat music for fight scenes he could've used Mick Gordon's Killer Instinct(2013) or Modern Doom trilogy osts(vgm usually are cr free, Mark haynes even used one of the KI music in one of his smbz eps). He hasn't mentioned using AI to help further searching

000

minty_style @mintystyle.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

he even used genAI music in his omniman vs homelander vid. I understand where he's coming from with the tedium that comes with finding the right copyright free music to fit the tone and vibe for each scene, but there could've been better options like using AI to help research cr free music...

Im sure he's already found his cup of tea with MK8(World is pretty close as said from his recent Doom vid) and airriders

Just you and this series that you are stepping forth into for the first time

010

minty_style @mintystyle.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

What I mean by taking your time is, gathering all of the questions that you can get out of the game, all the puzzles, all the possible narrative points you can grab from your own terms, playing, trying, working, and understanding the game on it's own feet like imagine no internet in this day n age

minty_style @mintystyle.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

some folks are able to digest good from binge but others might digest it best through moderation and pacing yourself. I honestly believe that there is no fomo to be found when it comes to getting into this series if you take your time and dont rush these games

Adding onto this. There's always this desire when you're starting a big series like this to "catch up" but its best to just play at your own pace. These games aren't terribly long compared to other RPGs, and you'll digest the stories, characters, and themes better if you don't rush.

You know, I quite enjoyed this new Spider-Man movie, but I'm a little exhausted by the response being, "this is what Spider-Man is supposed to be." Is there only one way Spider-Man gets to be written? Should we just keep making the same movie over and over?
