He liked to claim that he "didn't grow up rich" because his dad and his dad's dad weren't that rich, but the fact that he spent the later years of his life making a decent amount of money on the Stock Market really makes me question that. Who knows how he was able to get rich off stocks?

One of my maternal great-uncles has the fairly popular last name of "Babcock," and when I did a little bit of digging into his paternal family tree, finding out that he descended from a lot of rich Babcocks from at least the 1700s.

As someone who unfortunately works for a company (what companies pay over $25/hr while only requiring a HS degree in this economy) that makes PCBs for HPE/Nvidia and Oxide Computing, even I would gladly see the company that I work for suffer for their decisions in the last 5 or so years.

It will be interesting, though, considering that multiple polls have shown for the last few months that the main factor driving Democrats' popularity has nothing to do with them, only because most Americans hate Trump more that they will vote for anyone that campaigns to fight against him.

Like you said, it would be interesting to talk to my distant cousin, see her reasons for choosing him, of the many possibly better options, to get married to. Anyways, about a decade later, I found out through the local newspaper that he married one of my VERY distant cousins who was a grade or two behind me, so me and her would attend high school together for a few years. His dad is this STAUNCH religious conservative, and that's how he was raised.

There was this homeschooled deeply religious kid who was allowed to take German class at the same public high school as me. Despite me being (at the time) one of those "edgy" anti-theist kids, I had VERY few friends, so I would talk to him occasionally, sometimes even outside of school.

It's a good thing that he had an EXTREMELY strained relationship with his father growing up, who WAS A MEMBER OF HITLER'S STORMTROOPERS BOTH BEFORE AND DURING WWII. I wouldn't doubt that knowing his dad's proud (according to his dad) military history, he would want to grow up being like his father.

Like, I know one of my coworkers who just recently got promoted from unit tester to a technician, as well as my mom and one else getting a dollar raise because they got promoted from an entry-level position to that same test position. At least in my mom's case, she will now be making about $22.50/hr
