The rush to accuse, without anything approaching due diligence, artists of using "AI," should be treated with contempt. An artist gets their work *ripped off* to train a plagiarism machine, which then shits out inferior versions of that work, so then you accuse the artist of using "AI"? Fuck you.

Wow. LOISH got accused of using Ai to make her art. I started following her on early deviantart. I remember first seeing her paintings in college. This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.

happy pumpkin season! (art from 2014)

a black and white scratchboard drawing. Alternative poster for "It's the great pumpkin, Charlie brown"
It depicts a vast pumpkin patch in which Linus is standing holding a sign. He is looking up at the full moon. In front of the full moon we can see Snoopy in his aviator costume on his doghouse.
All the way in the distance, there is a house and we can see three children in halloween costumes coming out the door.

Some doodles from the last few weeks! 🌟 Drawing has been hard! #art #digitalart #Procreate #BlackArt

The image depicts a black-and-white drawing/lineart of a Black woman with coily hair from the shoulders up. Her face and body are in three-fourths view; her head is tilted slightly down. She turned slightly to the viewer's left. She is smiling gently at something (or someone) off-screen. Her hair is loose and natural, curls touching her shoulders.

The image depicts a work-in-progress drawing/lineart in the Procreate app. The drawing depicts a Black girl with two large afro puffs. Though she's facing the viewer, her eyes are turned upward and pointed to the viewer's right. She is wearing a neutral expression and looking at something off-screen. She is wearing a pair of large star-shaped earrings.

Gonna repeat what I said elsewhere, but webcomic creators, do not lose heart. We're the ones who made the platforms what they are. They need us more than we need them. A music venue makes money because of its billing, and if it can't pull the acts, it shuts down. We can always rebuild

If you want to see indie projects succeed, you have to spearhead the support for them. Talk openly about other people’s work and how much you like it, draw fanart, reshare content about the project, send it to a friend, leave comments on every update, donate money, etc.

this isn't to blame artists for doing what they have to to survive but also i feel like collectively, basically the entire internet has been focused on making things completely frictionless for so long that it's just made the problem worse. when lifting a finger becomes "friction" you have a problem
