Today’s “all White Sox” immaculate grid. No one who hit 30 HRs for the Friars ever played on the South Side, so I went with one guy who was famously in the org’s farm system

Colson Montgomery batting 9th in a playoff game. How the mighty have fallen.

BONUS: Oakland Coliseum (A’s) I get why this stadium got shit on, but I didn’t mind it. My seats were good, and I drank awesome California beer while watching Tim Anderson get a go-ahead hit in the top of the 9th only to have the bullpen blow the game in the bottom of the inning.

19. Fenway Park (Red Sox) I paid $150 to park and have my son and I watch a ball game with two giant poles in our way. Fuck that. Old does not equal glorious and I don’t care if this pisses off the Baseball Traditionalists.

18. Wrigley Field (Cubs) This gets a HUGE downgrade bc this is a home field for me, and I’m not a visitor. I have to drive in traffic to then take a bus to then walk to a stadium that might have obstructed seating and mid ballpark food. The Ivy is cool, but it doesn’t do anything for me anymore

17. Globe Life Field (Rangers) This just felt soulless. I love a huge park, but this ain’t it. Again, baseball should not be played indoors.

Adam Kaplan @millennialsox.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
16. Daikon Park (Astros) The outfield is crooked and it feels weird to me. Huge knock against it because it’s indoors, and baseball need to be played outside (I know no one wants to sit 115 degree Texas heat, I get it, but still)

15. Nationals Park (Nationals) The definition of Mid in ball park form. I saw Dylan Cease pitch a no hitter against the Nats, so that was cool.

Adam Kaplan @millennialsox.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
14. Progressive Field (Guardians) Any time I can get a picture with Hall of Famer and White Sox legend Jim Thome (or at least his statute) I’m gonna do it, but other than that, it’s fine. I got dollar hot dogs on a Saturday Night and saw the Guardians lose, so that was good.

13. Guaranteed Rate Field (White Sox) Gets a HUGE bump bc it’s my home stadium & I’m not a visitor to it. I can always get a cheap seat with a great view of the field, the stadium food is outstanding, and it’s easy for me to get to. And you want a view of the Skyline, go to the ramp and get a pic.

12. Yankee Stadium (Yankees) The franchise Hall of Fame in center field was dope and the stadium itself is designed well so I was able to enjoy the game, despite being in the nosebleeds. I dinged it because despite technically being in NYC, it’s the Bronx and the view outside the stadium sucks

11. Comerica Park (Tigers) I’m glad I got to go back this summer because I was able to appreciate it more and it rose up my rankings. My biggest flaw with it is that the outfield is designed crooked so you don’t get to enjoy the skyscrapers in the background; mainly just Ford Field

10. Target Field (Twins) I loved how big and modern it felt. I’m not a traditionalist when it comes to baseball stadiums, so I have no problem praising modernity while watching America’s Pastime.

8. Camden Yards (Orioles) 9. PNC Park (Pirates) I’ve only been to each once, and I think I need to go again. Both let me down in some way. PNC was smaller than I thought and sat in a seat where I couldn’t see left field. The aspects that make Camden “great” aren’t features I usually care about.

7. American Family Field (Brewers) This one gets a bump because it’s basically a home field for me. It’s super easy for me to get to in order to enjoy a brat and can sit anywhere without a bad view of the game.

6. Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) My favorite of the massive stadiums (I don’t know its actual seating capacity, but it felt huge). Love the display when you walk in honoring its past, and despite their reputation, it was amazing watching the Phillies win with Phillies fans.

5. Kauffman Stadium (Royals) Feels like a Minor League stadium in the best possible way. Love eating a Z-Man with the water features in center field. It would be higher on my list if you weren’t sitting in the middle of a concrete parking lot.

4. Coors Field (Rockies) Drinking a Coors literally a mile up from sea level with the Rocky Mountains in the distance while watching a baseball game (even if it does involve the Colorado Rockies lol) is a great way to spend an evening.

3. Busch Stadium (Cardinals) Having your city’s iconic landmark be a part of your stadium view goes a long way.

Adam Kaplan @millennialsox.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
2. Oracle Park (Giants) The only Baseball Mecca that has lived up to the hype for me. I mean, speaking of all stadiums should be on a body of water…

Adam Kaplan @millennialsox.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
1) Great American Ballpark (Reds) I know this isn’t usually a “sexy” choice, but I’ve been twice (once with my family, once with my friends) & loved it both times. All baseball stadiums should be along a body of water, $25 all you can eat dogs, pop, and snacks is a steal, and great seats anywhere.

2026 was also The Summer of Baseball™️ for me. I re-visited Progressive and Comerica, caught a couple Brewers games, saw my first Sox game in like 5 years (awesome 13th inning walk off against the Yanks), and saw the Savannah Bananas at Wrigley.

Every year I try to visit at least one new baseball stadium that I’ve never been to before. This year was Yankee Stadium. I’ve now been to 19 stadiums (plus the old Colosseum in Oakland, RIP)

Munetaka Murakami, Miguel Vargas, and Colson Montgomery stopped one home run shy of hitting a combined 100 on the season. But they helped propel the White Sox to the playoffs, they at least they got that going for them.

tf is this horseshit?! You dont get to cherry pick the seasons you like & dont like. Were creators allowed to select s2 of Justified and only s2? This is a ranking separating the best of the best. If you want to honor the best of a show you need to decide how the worst parts about it affect it too.
