The Iconoclasts books by @mikeshel.bsky.social have been among my favorite books for a long time. Now West of the World joins them in their hallowed position. Gritty, intricate, dark, and totally unique - I wholeheartedly recommend it. mybook.to/cjm1

I've just finished The Worst Survive by @fantasticphil.bsky.social - a brilliant dystopian dark fantasy with wonderful characters and a Mad Max vibe. And West of the World by @mikeshel.bsky.social which he defines as dark fantasy/weird western and is amazing for so many reasons. (Both coming soon).

Dungeons & Dragon Dating by Virginia McClain This was a fun one, for all there were a lot of serious topics discussed. But Lyra and Kiara had a strong connection, and they were both clearly competent enough to find a way through. I really enjoyed the puma familiar. 🪐📚💙 #specfic #sff 🌈📚 🌈🚀💫 📚 /1

Book Cover for Dungeons & Dragon Dating by Virginia McClain

This cover is illustrated, with images surrounding the title. The outer frame is twisting vines, with a small coffee cup above the words. Below the title is a cartoonish dragon with oversized eyes, drawn in outline. A playing card is set to one side of the title.

It's whimsical, and a bit silly.
