Bumping down the road on this worn old OCTranspo bus, I wonder if phones will someday have so many sensors and so much processing power that they’ll be able to measure their shaking, measure your shaking and stabilize the screen in real-time. Kind of like noise-canceling headphones for video. 🤔

On a bus out of the suburbs at 08:30 AM (night shift done!). The bus is 80% full of young women, likely students going to university, while the male students probably got drunk last night and are skipping class. 😂 Be careful, guys, you might end up working for one of these go-getters sometime! 😅

There’s this young, tall guy at the bus station every night, doing either Tai Chi or cosplay moves. Nice to see someone doing something constructive, honing their craft, instead of being a dumbass and smoking weed like the others.

Thinking of people in Burma and Thailand today. I experienced a lot of smaller earthquakes in Tokyo, but never as strong as M7.7. A lot of desperately poor people in Myanmar with a civil war ongoing. They need help more than ever.

X has a new terms of service that goes into effect on November 15. It says that by using X, you agree that everything you post can be used to train their AI models.

You agree that this license includes the right for us to (i) analyze text and other information you provide and to otherwise provide, promote, and improve the Services, including, for example, for use with and training of our machine learning and artificial intelligence models, whether generative or another type;

One thing I love about IOS18 is how it can take a selection of your sometimes-mediocre photos and crop them as a nice background on your Home Screen. 🥰 Makes me remember many good walks in Canada and Tokyo!

There, it finally happened. So I’m switching over all my attention to Bluesky and Mastodon. I enjoyed Twitter so much over the years and have a lot of resentment in basically being forced to switch. All we can do is make the best of it and encourage the accounts we want to follow to switch as well.
