Drove out to Portage la Prairie for a story about the city's mall set to close at the end of the year. Met Garry walking laps and saw a lot of bins set out to catch water from the leaking roof. www.winnipegfreepress.com/business/202...
Set of doors that open into the Portage la Prairie Mall with just the very large word "MALL" hanging above. The view through a window into an empty store in the mall. The empty store has really nice looking hardwood floor (probably laminate) and a number of plastic garbage bins set out to catch water from the leaking roof. A reflection in the window shows a person walking through the front doors into the mall.A view down the interior length of the mall that includes trees under skylights and a person in the distance walking.
Garry has been a mall walker for over 10 years, walking in the mall six days a week during the winter. He plans on returning as much as possible right up until the doors close on December 31st.A view through the security door of a shop showing a clothing rack with empty hangers.
