You can see the window title change well before the content updates. There’s a noticeable lag when clicking things. If I had a React behaving this way I would fix it. But this is a “native” app that comes built-in on the Mac. This is horrible and reflects poorly on the state of Apple’s software.

if you tap the “view in calendar” button on an iphone preorder in the apple store app you get this sheet that has two separate delete buttons, one of which cannot scroll all the way into view (i had to hold it in place to screenshot), and a header that also cannot scroll all the way into view.

Angry that the code is a whopping half a megabyte. Also angry that the code is minified to make it take up as little space as possible. The duality of man.

Some sites still use JavaScript that way, but many use it for major programs that do large jobs. For instance, Google Docs tries to install into your browser a JavaScript program which measures half a megabyte, in a compacted form that we could call Obfuscript. This compacted form is made from the source code, by deleting the extra spaces that make the code readable and the explanatory remarks that make it comprehensible, and replacing each meaningful name in the code with an arbitrary short name so we can't tell what it is supposed to mean.
