Shades has been updated with a brand new tab that shows what shaders are currently available for Bright Dust. This is way more convenient than trying to check the game every day. And since Shades knows what shaders you’ve unlocked, it shows if you already own the offered shaders.

I do not plan to shut down Shades following today’s Destiny 2 news. I’m going to leave it running because even though this is the end of the game, fashion is, and always was, the endgame. People will need to manage their shaders when fashion is the only pursuit left.

Tonight I noticed that the Brineglow shader isn’t showing in Shades. I looked into it to see if it was similar to the issue I had with War Weary a while back. Turns out it’s an issue with a number of shaders on Bungie’s end. There’s a GitHub issue if you want to follow: github.com/Bungie-net/a...

Until this is resolved, Chatterwhite won’t show up in Shades, since the app uses your collection data to figure out what shaders you have. Once this is fixed you should see the shader show up!

There's a Shades update ready to be deployed but I'm not going to be able to deploy it until later this month. It addresses two issues with loadouts: - Loadout panel stays open but shows no data after applying a loadout - Loadout says it will apply to all gear but only applies to equipped gear

Updated the progress indicator on the shader application screen to show the count of gear pieces that have been updated in addition to the percentage.

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that would cause the shader list to always be empty if you had a default tag (or tags) selected in your user preferences and pressed the reload button in the header.
Removed a redundant loading indicator on the refresh button.

Removed Favorites Migration
When Shades launched, favorites were stored locally in your browser rather than the cloud. When an update migrated these favorites to the cloud, a behavior was added to automatically move the favorites you had saved in your browser to the cloud. Now that cloud-based favorites have been out for over a year, everyone should have had enough time to move their favorites, and this functionality has been removed.

v1.26 is rolling out now. This adds a reload button to the header that lets you refresh your Shades profile data and shader list. You can use this button to: - See new shaders you just picked up - Sync changes you made to your tags, preferences, favorites, loadouts, or other Shades profile data
