I’m not the only person that’s had the thought, but it hit me a few hours into Resonant, this game is about COVID. And specifically kids that few up during lockdown. Imagine being locked in a room in 2019 and then emerging into whatever our world is in 2026. No wonder Dylan is weird.

The only way I will have any interest in this is if they start the film with Finn waking up, having dreamt the entirety of Rise of Skywalker, and picking back up at the end of The Last Jedi. At breakfast, he laughs with Poe & Rey about the silly dream logic of the Emperor returning somehow.

Many have said it, but it does feel like a game that had a big change in the middle of the dev cycle. Some of the levels are big with nothing in them. And sometimes the story just seems to jump forward, like content was maybe cut for time. But I think there’s a good story in there.

New X-Men game idea, someone make this, it’s a cozy builder/management game. Pokopia meets Two Point Hospital. You run the X-Mansion, build rooms, move students in. Pyro needs a fireplace, but can’t live next to Iceman etc. Get on it.

I have hit credits and obtained all trophies on Wolverine. Thoughts in the morning maybe. But for now, I actually kinda liked it. Maybe the lowered expectations helped. But I had a good time, it’s a good story.

It reminds me a bit of how Andor is Star Wars but it does it without the Jedi, Yoda, or other name dropping fan service that almost every other Star Wars thing does. The movie is Resident Evil to its core without pandering. You would know it were Resident Evil even without the name.

From the 90 minutes or so I’ve played of Wolverine so far, it seems like his biggest weakness is being surprised? He can take an insane amount of bullets to the face and shrug it off with his healing factor, but walk too far to the left (30 seconds into the game) and he just blows up.

The fact that Xbox spent all summer laying off long-time employees, closing historic studios and canceling projects because it wasn't profitable enough, then funding a big project with very little chance of being profitable but hey, he has 6 million followers on Twitter, should'nt be a good PR move.
