This is simultaneously interesting, predictable, and depressing. Aligns with my thoughts that the "higher skilled" people in a field aren't losing work (yet), but the problem is: you don't get to that stage without the lower skilled/lower paid work first. That step is being removed from the ladder.

Trevors (1990) starring Kevin Bacon @slimyswampghost.bsky.social · 25/10/2023

This time, when Tristan grasped the latch and pulled, the door swung wide, and then fell off its hinges into the dirt. It felt like the old fridge had been waiting for just that moment. The thing crouched inside grinned into the light and slowly untangled itself to stand.

A spindly thing, long forgotten, crouches in an old refrigerator. It is grinning and has much too many limbs and teeth. it's eyes are the bruised blue bulbous orbs of a baby bird.

Apparently there’s an influx of far right nazi arseholes. Remember the rules. Do not engage. Do not quote post to dunk. Block early, block often. Starve them of oxygen.

Christchurch! Please email your local councillor to let them know how much our small community libraries are valued. They are not, as our mayor describes them, “just a building with some books in it.” The council is considering closing small libraries to cut costs. Please share.

An illustration of a grandmother and a small child entering a public library with the words “just a building with some books in it”. The roof of the library is a book on its side with an explosion of colour and beauty to symbolise knowledge, curiosity and creativity.

"The old gods do not comprehend artificial light. It collapses their superposition and leaves us wondering about lens flares and multi-exposure, craving answers, unable to accept the reality only artificial eyes can perceive." (Have some black and white monsters for November~. :D)
