Gaskastjåhkkå and Skajdejågåsj, Sarek, Sweden. Photo taken with my homemade wooden pinhole camera. #pinhole #landscape #sweden #believeinfilm #filmphotography @ilfordphoto.com #ilfordfp4
A black and white photograph of a river leading in to a valley. The mountain with patchy snow fields is named Gaskastjåhkkå and the river Skajdejågåsj. I had my camp for the night here.

Camp in Sarvesvágge, Sarek, Sweden. I really felt like I was out in the wilderness here. Nearby was an old elk carcass where bones had been dragged away by scavengers, perhaps wolverines. The day after I saw three golden eagles. #filmphotography @ilfordphoto.com #ilfordfp4 #pinhole #believeinfilm
Pinhole photograph of a tent in a valley (Sarvesvágge) with deep cliffs on the sides and distant mountains cut of the valley in the middle of the frame. At the end of the valley lies "rovdjurstorget" (the predator square) where tracks from all five big Swedish predators have been seen (bear, wolf, lynx, wolverine, and golden eagle).

The photo was taken standing in a stream high above a valley. Snow and rain falls in the distance.

This summer I back packed in Sarek national Park, Sweden, around the Pårte (Bårdde) mountain. Njoatsosvágge was one of the impressive valleys I had the pleasure of visiting. More info in the alt texts. #sweden #landscape #photography #nature #backpacking
The bend in Njoatsosvágge. Goabrekbákte in the centre.Midnight with fresh snow on the mountain tops. Tsahtsa mountain in the center. Tent spot overlooking Njoatsosvágge. The dramatic weather gave sun, snow and rain during the day. I was completely alone on this night, just like the other five nights during this trip.

Starting a 7 day backpacking trip in Sarek, Sweden today. No trails, reception or huts. Of course I brought my pinhole camera.

You can check the infinity focus by pointing an SLR focused at infinity head to head, like this: feuerbacher.net/photo/repair...

I hope you find it usable! I think scaling the 4x5 stl files would work best. The OpenScad probably has some bugs if you try to scale it.

I designed and 3d printed single sheet daylight development trays instead. They are for 4x5 but should adapt to 5x7, but I have not tested. www.printables.com/model/132181...

I've never used filters for pinhole photography, but for lensed photography I generally prefer the more subtle effect of a yellow filter. I'm eyeing a second hand orange filter right now though :)

I fitted a filter thread on my wooden pinhole camera. Testing it out with a yellow filter. #pinhole #filmphotography

I hear you. I also like the simplicity of RC. I held a course in darkroom work for my local camera club recently and was reminded of how less labor intensive it is with RC. My hope is that the whole AI thing will make people value the time and process put into a darkroom print.

I'm also curious. I haven't tried to sell anything yet, but for my own walls I prefer FB because the way they can be matted. I also think RC prints look like plastic when you are close in, even behind glass (I know many will disagree).

I often do the same with my x100v when shooting landscapes, since it sometimes misses focus (which is strange...). Or use S mode with manual adjustment.

Here are a few build pics from when I build my wooden pinhole camera back in 2024, almost exclusively using hand tools. The inner part is 3d printed though. #pinhole #woodworking #handtools
Planing oak with an old wooden handplane.Ripping thin slices of oak, that I later planed to 6mm thick.Main parts layed out: oak box, 3d printed interior with stainless steel roller for film transport, brass tripod threaded insert, and brass film winders.Front view of the finished pinhole camera

Sarek National Park, Sweden. Walking the "high route" in Rapadalen. Inkjet print on Hahnemüle Bamboo. This is a A5 size proof. An A2 size framed print is hanging at a local restaurant in my hometown. #photography #nature #sverige #sweden #landscape
Two stones in the foreground, between which a small stream is meandering. Distant mountains in the background where larger streams hurl down. Snow and small glaciers sit on the mountain tops. Rapaselet, a part of the unique Rapa valley in Sarek, Sweden, is seen on the right. This place is a 2-3 days hike from the nearest road. Sarek has no marked trails, so you have to be totally self-reliant.

Great composition! The road leading into the scene, the way the shadow falls on the mountain, and how the bright spot in the cloud slightly left of the middle balances the shape and shadow of the mountain.

It's pinhole after all :) I made some 38x38 cm prints yesterday. They are huge! Planning to tone and mount them the coming weeks.

Thank you! Have you made any large prints? This is 18x18 cm (6x6 negative) and I like the level of sharpness, or lack thereof. I'm planning to make a 40x40 cm print, but I'm worried I'll find it too blurry.

My favorite darkroom print is hanging in my living room. It was made with a homemade pinhole camera in the "Rapa" valley in Sarek national park, Sweden. I'm planning on making a larger print of the this negative in the near future.

I'm not nearly as good at downhill, so I have avoided taking a camera for fear of falling on it. A Hasselblad might be a bit heavy to take cross country skiing! My Rolleicord was on the limit... A Zeiss Ikon 6x6 folder fits neatly in the wax belt with a Reveny Labs spot meter.

I might have seen tracks from a wolf in the snow at this location. A pair of wolves are confirmed to live here. The step size, length, and behavior matched, and no trace of human steps around.

I had similar symptoms when I used old fixer (first of two baths) where silver had started to precipitate. It happened during the summer when we had 30°C.
