Camp in Sarvesvágge, Sarek, Sweden. I really felt like I was out in the wilderness here. Nearby was an old elk carcass where bones had been dragged away by scavengers, perhaps wolverines. The day after I saw three golden eagles. #filmphotography @ilfordphoto.com #ilfordfp4 #pinhole #believeinfilm
Pinhole photograph of a tent in a valley (Sarvesvágge) with deep cliffs on the sides and distant mountains cut of the valley in the middle of the frame. At the end of the valley lies "rovdjurstorget" (the predator square) where tracks from all five big Swedish predators have been seen (bear, wolf, lynx, wolverine, and golden eagle).

This summer I back packed in Sarek national Park, Sweden, around the Pårte (Bårdde) mountain. Njoatsosvágge was one of the impressive valleys I had the pleasure of visiting. More info in the alt texts. #sweden #landscape #photography #nature #backpacking
The bend in Njoatsosvágge. Goabrekbákte in the centre.Midnight with fresh snow on the mountain tops. Tsahtsa mountain in the center. Tent spot overlooking Njoatsosvágge. The dramatic weather gave sun, snow and rain during the day. I was completely alone on this night, just like the other five nights during this trip.

Here are a few build pics from when I build my wooden pinhole camera back in 2024, almost exclusively using hand tools. The inner part is 3d printed though. #pinhole #woodworking #handtools

Sarek National Park, Sweden. Walking the "high route" in Rapadalen. Inkjet print on Hahnemüle Bamboo. This is a A5 size proof. An A2 size framed print is hanging at a local restaurant in my hometown. #photography #nature #sverige #sweden #landscape
Two stones in the foreground, between which a small stream is meandering. Distant mountains in the background where larger streams hurl down. Snow and small glaciers sit on the mountain tops. Rapaselet, a part of the unique Rapa valley in Sarek, Sweden, is seen on the right. This place is a 2-3 days hike from the nearest road. Sarek has no marked trails, so you have to be totally self-reliant.

My favorite darkroom print is hanging in my living room. It was made with a homemade pinhole camera in the "Rapa" valley in Sarek national park, Sweden. I'm planning on making a larger print of the this negative in the near future.

Two weeks ago me and my wife went on a 100 km-something backpack through Femundsmarka, Rogen, and Långfjället with tent. We had very mixed weather, which resulted in some beautiful photographic conditions. I also had my pinhole camera, but the negs need to be developed. #x100v #fujifilm #landscape

My most successful toning of a cyanotype so far: fenugreek tea without prior bleaching. I think I prefer the untoned one for this particular subject. #cyanotype #stillife #alternativeprocess #largeformat

I love reading old books about the Swedish mountains and its surroundings. This one is a gem: Sarek by Svante Lundgren, published in 1946. The cover page photo was taken on the same spot that I was last summer, but 80-something years earlier.

Northern Rapa valley (lat. 67.32375, lon. 17.76247) during a 7 day solo backpack through Sarek last summer. #pinhole #filmphotography #darkroom @ilfordphoto.com FP4+ and MGFB classic glossy.
Fibre base print of a pinhole photo of my tent pitched above northern Rapa valley. Snow and glaciers are visible on the mountains in the distance.

Split-grade printing was used to manipulate local contrast. The contrast in the river and distant mountains was increased by dodging the soft exposure and burning the hard exposure. The foreground was dodged during the soft exposure to lighten it and increase contrast. The sky was burned down during the soft exposure.

The print is split-tone in sepia and selenium, then mounted to an album page using heat-activated adhesive.
