I used to do the same thing but at my current place it's in the kitchen and I have a teeny tiny kitchen. You can't even open the fridge all the way. So even though it's a double-decker, I use the lid of the washer as extra countertop, so it's usually closed with stuff stacked on it.

Again, much of Pete Hegseth’s deal is the only skill his job demanded for a long time was keeping a trim figure to be conventionally pretty for stay-at-home moms watching daytime tv. His job was “be pretty,” but he knows that’s a girl job, so he’s deeply insecure and is trying to make it a boy job.
