I’m finally getting back to my Earthbound playthrough

Screenshot from Earthbound, text reads “you guys can’t envision the final collapse of capitalism? Incredible!”

Street Fighter 4 now having rollback netcode brought me back to why that era of fighting games boomed in its resurgence and excitement towards the genre the way it did.

It sucks when you know this won't benefit anyone in the long run, and so few seem to care.

There are so many people, so many, that love film and want to dedicate their whole lives to making films, in front of the camera, behind it, in editing suites and casting rooms and makeup trailers. And that these locusts can come in and just devour the industry, take it from us all, is devastating.

Just when nothing couldn't possibly get worse in an industry already hanging by a thread. The Ellison's Family supporter, Trump, has threaten the city of Los Angeles. Is that skydance paycheck still worth it?

I can't help to feel like we're too easily duped, just a bunch of rubes who will do anything for a treat. I have to stand my ground. They can't win me over that easily. Continue producing physical media and we MIGHT be talking. Sony can lick my dirty floor boards.

i could do without the assholes, upon seeing US animation people in despair over their livelihoods with the skydance merger, commenting on how animation everywhere else is fine. just say you are okay with leaving us to die, like be honest. nice solidarity. amazing really.

I truly, TRULY love that studios are not married to making all animated movies look as realistic as possible anymore, but I think the balance of making CG projects look GOOD in a 2.5D style is still really hard. So often it ends up looking really cheap. Regular 2D animation often looks better!

Here’s my piece for the Gravity Falls Tribute Show at Gallery Nucleus! I’ll be at the opening reception tonight, so if you already have tickets, feel free to come say hello! If you don’t have tickets, the show is open to the public starting Sept 27th.

A traditional acrylic painting of a gnome (inspired by the gnomes in gravity falls) in the forest!

Shoutout to the team that made this issue of Monster High, this bit had me cackling 💀🩷 From Monster High: Howliday Haunt One Shot

Two panels from Monster High: Howliday Haunt. In the first panel is a zombie boy that Frankie made shouting "AI art is a legitimate form of creative expression!". The second panel shows Frankie Stein with a disappointed look saying, "Oh no! He's brain dead."

Probably one of my favorite Dreamworks films to date. The comedy is unhinged in gremlin energy (which I vibe with). The story is emotionally woven really well. Just a fun film all around.

the scary dangerous ambient theme music when you're playing as simon in silent hill townfall is brilliant because the scary, droning noise that keeps happening very clearly is referencing stretching, groaning ropes on a ship or sea vessel of some kind. Once you notice it... so cool

It's ridiculous how scalpers have convinced themselves that they're providing a "service" when they're doing the equivalent of blocking a major street and asking residents to pay a toll.

Reminds me how much little anime consumption I've had with the genre past the mid 2010's. With the exception of frieren and apothecary diaries as of late. I was an anime watching monster back in the day.
