I think the starters are actually fantastically synergistic (more so if JK was a better shooter, alas). They're going to be the best transition team in the league. They're going to move the ball in an infectious way. I *think* the defense is even gonna be pretty good. Bench is another story ofc.

The way I see it, there's a line between having obvious flaws and those flaws being crippling. And the difference is usually in how strong your strengths are to counteract them. And I think our strengths are going to be extremely strong, at least against most matchups.

I think his hand is gonna be pretty forced because Lyles is not gonna be reliable either. I mean, I don't disagree with the basic premise, I'm as critical on Finch about playing young guys as anyone. But I do think Beringer is going to play at least some in every game he's healthy for.

I do feel like we need one more real bench piece. Not including DDV. Right now I think Ayo is the only bench player I'd trust in the playoffs? But the starters are great, even when Kuminga is forcing shots. The roster would be perfect with one more starting-level forward and a Beringer leap.

I think Lyles is much worse than SloMo and Beringer is sure to be better on balance than last season. And Indiana is a bad matchup for him, they have a lot of big-man depth and strength and shooting. Only real question mark, to your point, is how patient is Finch gonna be with his down games?

I mean, in the playoffs Gobert will close games and there won’t be a minute without one of Ant or LaMelo. I just meant it’s a bad matchup for Beringer specifically, and yeah our lack of forward depth.

Bad matchup, Indy’s frontcourt is super deep. Jarace Walker would probably start for us and he’s their third string PF.

Luckily that’s the easiest and least important part of basketball

I think his on-ball defense is mostly gonna be pretty bad but he's going to make up for it in other ways. I saw him get lost or cooked on each of the first three defensive possessions of the game lol
