With gas prices being what they are, I don't explore much further than the general area which is ok, these 70 year old bones wouldn't care if the price of gas was .50L. lol

So I've been busy reorganizing my website the past few months. I don't do much advertising anymore to avoid giving certain social media entities my $$$.

A look down from above Pillar Rock near la "Presqu'ile from a project early last summer.

Made of Black Basalt rock, it's believed they were formed during the Devonian period spanning roughly between 419.2 million and 358.9 million years ago.

They get a lot of attention during stormy weather when the surf comes crashing against them in quite the dramatic fashion.

Here's one I love revisiting from when Lucille & I were still engaged to be married later in the coming summer.

We had been on one of our favorite walking trails in Kingston and as we rounded a bend on the trail this beautiful specimen of a Barred Owl sat offside in a pine. I must've taken 100 photos and kept 3, this would be the better of the 3.

Gear in use at the time was anything but pro-level but I made sure to maximize it's potential until I could afford better lenses and later better bodies.

It's good for the soul to remember & review where I once was.... keeps me humble. 😉

Equipment used: Canon EOS Rebel T1i (my 2nd DSLR) with an EFS55-250mm f4-5.6 IS lens.

After leaving La Bloc then by-passing La Presqu'ile, simply continue up the Cabot Trail and find a pull over look-off on the water side just around the bend for a truly majestic view.
