And you did not mistype `strictUnclaimedEventNames`. It just must not be registered in Angular's custom tsconfig schema yet.

See example of a proper binding, a mistyped but no camel case binding (even though the real name is camel case) not throwing, and the third when uncommented does have a mistyped camelCase name and throws this error: stackblitz.com/edit/j3iu8bh...

So if you had a non camelCase event name or the typo was not camelCase, this would not find anything. But if you try a wrong camelCase event name, then the diagnostic happens.

I had to step away for a meeting when you looked at this at the end. But I just realized how important this caveat was: "Only single-identifier camelCase names are checked". You tried `whatever` and other non camelCase variants.

github.com/angular/angu... The new `strictUnclaimedEventNames` strict templates option (opt in) is lowkey great. I haven't seen much talk on it. Only camelcase stuff, but immediately catches stuff.

Since Angular switched to a yearly major release cycle, minor releases are like major ones! This Wednesday, join us to discuss v22.2, the latest minor release, which brings some great new features, such as error boundaries, router resources, and other improvements (`private` fields in templates?!).
Angular Space TV live stream cover. The title reads "What's new in Angular 22.2! Live Demo & Deep Dive", with "Angular 22.2!" in yellow, and below it "October 7, 4:30 PM UTC". Host Armen Vardanyan is in the center against purple nebula clouds and stars. The Angular Space TV logo is top left, the Angular logo top right, and X, YouTube, Twitch and LinkedIn icons run down the left side.

I wanted to have my existing Angular Material reactive forms and signal forms work for our shared library which should support both. After various experimentation, I settled on this approach which works quite smooth: github.com/michael-smal.... `FormValueControl` + `SignalFormControl` rock.

La CLI de Angular ha gestionado bien TypeScript 6.0 en varios de mis proyectos. Creo que ocurrirá lo mismo con el compilador de TypeScript 7.0.
TypeScript 6.0 has been handled good by Angular's CLI , in various projects of mine. I think that it will go well for this TypeScript 7.0 compiler.

Third party dependencies may need some more time than usual to get working with TypeScript 7.0, but they have had time with 6.0's compatibility APIs.

Good luck with that. If you don't have to replace a lib due to ngcc going away in v16, or some Prime/Material legacy hacks, you should be able to steam through it. If it is Material based, I have a lot of tips of that.

It's funny that ngOnChanges's SimpleChanges was given typing awhile after computed + signal inputs. I had removed most ngOnChanges by then with computed, but it's interesting to think of more increments of just preserving ngOnChanges but now updating its typing.

NO `as`, particularly for AI. It's not like I don't use it, it has its uses and I can be convinced if it is justified, but it's such a cheat code for AI. Assigning any value inside of a subscribe. Most often something that could easily be async piped/toSignal/resource.

Resource extensions the best things to happen to resources. I experimented with a demo and it was great. And you do not need to use the resources in a store to use them. They just work with any vanilla resource. I feel like these, especially their global config, should be in the framework itself.

And now with `set` in 22.1, you can now have a protected signal + its dedicated writing function bound in a component and used like a regular writable signal. Definitely intended for signal form model signals, but I already used a similar pattern outside of that recently with a community equivalent.
