I'm gonna raise you an 86 Audi 5000, which lasted 6 months before the radiator blew and it was worth more as scrap. In 1998.

My wife is always like "y'all want dinner again?" For the record, I do almost all the planning, shopping and cooking....

I think the more interesting take is how much its always been like this: I.E. How is SNL and the Tonight show not short form video? I'm also reminded of the media training in Bull Durham... Athletes, Politicians, celebrities are always desperate for attention.. this is how they get it now.

I don't know the brand, but if you side or stomach sleep pillow like this saves your shoulders. It's worth the $35-$90

They get more money when you finance, so they are financially incentivized to go that route.

I have had to buy every console and game since my NES, and GT was only like $40 in '98.

Could be worse, a local doctor is always in clinic with a lab coat tailored so he can hip carry his 1911 Colt 45. Its a huge gun when it's inches from you in the middle of a physical exam for flu.

I answered a poll in the last VA Gov cycle. Like with any kind of statistics, or really numbers at all, it's more about how it's interpreted rather than the information itself.

Lots of courts don't have color printers and if the exhibits are in color, it might actually make it easier. Not sure what PACER does with color uploads...

I was hoping you would benefit from the loss of the "presumption of regularity" but then remembered you're dealing with the 11th Circuit. It's such bullshit, but the unending uncertainty is maybe the worst torture.

Is this a pound for pound title or just pure force?? Cause I assume like a 375 lb NT has to move a lot of mass, including with his toes? Same with grip strength, a huge dude needs more power just to walk....

Best choice I ever made was to hand write the entire VA bar exam. Makes me sound old, buy hard to fuck up pencil and paper. Also, law school should be two years and the third year should be a legal apprenticeship which allows you to waive the bar exam.

I've noticed in my small community that the youth sports for women are so much more successful. They closed school when the HS girls went to state a few years back. I wonder if that typical parental over involvement is driving some of this.

If we took some percentage of the local police budget and just used it to compensate people for property crimes, it would be a better and more efficient use of money.

Actually, that's pretty much exactly what you pay for. When a client hires me they get to decide 3 things: do I testify, do I settle, and do I want to sue someone. I get to decide everything else, within the bounds of my ethical obligations. I often tell clients they pay me to get yelled at.

Lawyer here, my clients have no idea how, when, or even why someone gets served. Just like they don't know what I put in my pleadings and papers. When you read an article that goes "sudeikis wrote in pleadings x" no he didn't. His lawyers wrote that and MAYBE gave him a chance to read it.

If you don't regularly deal with Social Security, the Trump cuts have made it impossible to talk to a person. The downside to making such a big deal out of it is that they can't blame anyone else.

sports podcasters are mad that some nobody is using their NIL to make a buck.... Which is at the heart of what all sports media is doing, using the NIL of athletes to make a buck.

Fagles did the Aeneid and then died, which is how a real classicist goes out. (For reference, Virgil famously died before completing the Aeneid.)

Important punchbuggy process question, is it: 1. "Punchbuggy [color]" then hit, then auto "no punch backs" Or 2. "Punchbuggy" hit "[color]" ????

Its a good test of whether the governor to POTUS pipeline still exists. For an outsider, the PA GOP seems like such a mess. Also I watched Youngkin spend 4 years trying to get into the national convo and he disappeared the moment he left office.

For me, he's got that Ron De Santis problem: looks good on paper, his in-state opposition is a joke, but when you get right down to it he gives like an updated John Kerry vibe. Who genuinely gets excited for this dude???

I'm curious on your theory, because I would guess a lot of them are actual UM grads. The honors college pulls a lot of people from competitive families who "didn't want to go to an Ivy". I could definitely see it being a dog whistle too....

It's also really important to understand that even if your job, like as a lawyer, is about to be exceptionally clear in your language and you go back and forth 20 times over language.... Sometimes people are just gonna ignore what you said and go with their version. Even if it's obviously wrong.

One time, got the cable guy to come out and not only replace my cable line to the house (at least 30 years old)... But he left the ladder up and turned around so I could cut a vestigial phone that kept getting hung up on a tree.

You know what's also gritty, subways without a/c and bars where even if you didn't smoke you'd leave reeking of it. Like I would have to air out my clothes from Friday night all weekend even before I could wash them.

Isn't this a question that is easily answerable at UVA, how many people are married within 5 years and how many men vs women are in the workforce? My personal experience is that way more of my female friends in law school have stopped working due to family.
