i met a kid who had to do one of these. in the middle of the night some college-age dudes basically kidnapped him in a van while his parents watched, crying and apologizing. at the camp they'd be ordered to like dig a ditch all morning and then fill it back up all afternoon. it was ineffective.

my extremely white, texan grandfather has been a fluent, daily speaker with a peggy hill-ass accent for 70 years and it's pretty funny. but he's easily understood from houston to mexico city, lima and madrid. just learn it and speak it if you can!

a couple of years ago (the "let's play a tight end at QB" game) when i knew we were cooked, i had a kid-related conflict so just chose to be a dad and not stream it on my phone. a friend didn't believe me when i said i didn't watch ... i was like why would i watch that dude

having covered the 2006 sooners for the school paper, i maintain people don't give that team enough credit. crazy, successful season. bomar kicked off, wide receiver at QB, AD broke his collarbone and the team had to battle every week. won big 12 anyway. overcame huge deficit against boise.

In high school when I came on my OU visit, living in desert ABQ, on a beautiful day in October and saw the green trees everywhere and that library, I was like “this is the place.” Imagine my surprise when I came for freshman orientation camp in July.
