This is not hard: She sees "British" as her nationality and "Asian" as her ethnicity. She is not ethnically English. Similarly, I myself was born in America. So were my parents & grandparents. But we're not "Native American" ethnically. We're ethnically Polish, and we're American by nationality.

I saw a clip of people protest-marching over #NolanWells' death and shouting, "No water in his lungs!" as if that means he didn't drown, and all it would've taken for them to stay home & enjoy the day is to do a search on, "Could you have drowned even if you were found with no water in your lungs?"

Same, kinda. (Banned but kept an eye on 3 accounts.) Kept getting time-sunk by Trending Topics and Breaking News. On another site I realized 98% of my feed was right-wing slop. Cut my feed from 2000 to 30 accounts. Left-wing slop abounds here, though. Learning to block liberally. Life's too short.

Honestly, that's why I gave up on it: I was too distracted counting all the well-known character actors who obviously wanted badly to be in a Spielberg movie. From the first moment, with Lukas Haas and Dane Dehaan as throwaway Union soldiers, it felt less a historical drama than an actors' showcase.

The sad thing is that if anyone deserved a shot at James Bond, it was Clive Owen, but the only time he ever played such a character (to my knowledge) was as a Bond-like parody in Steve Martin's "The Pink Panther" remake. It wasn't good. P.S.: Martin's "The Pink Panther 2" is *brilliantly* funny.

I'm watching "Lovecraft Country" and, never mind Cthulhu, so far most of the horror is realizing just how bad it was for black people back then. The hero's father's job is traveling in the South and reporting where a black person is less likely to get killed. I saw "Green Book" and this still hits.

I see people blaming #RFK for this, but per the article: (1) RFK offered federal help to Pennsylvania. Gov. Shapiro rejected it. (2) This woman was 20YO before RFK ever said an anti-vaxx word.
