Four generations of my family have served our country. Service is in my blood. The President wouldn’t know anything about that.

Kudos to Stephen Colbert for speaking out. Surrendering to the Trump regime's tyranny only invites more of it. Paramount clearly seems to care more about getting a merger approved than its own integrity.

Among all the big bad things happening on our planet, there's one Big Good Thing, the sudden, startling rise of solar energy. It changes the power dynamic, in every sense of the word 'power.' www.newyorker.com/news/annals-...

For the life of me I don’t understand going to the effort - time, money, everything - of running for Congress, winning, and then just rolling over. It makes no sense.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

In this post, I consider federal Judge Charles Breyer's compelling ruling against Trump's federalization of California National Guard. Situation here is yet another example of Trump's abusive invocation of emergency powers (as with Alien Enemies Act and tariffs): reason.com/volokh/2025/...

It Was All So Stupid

Seriously, you would not believe how stupid it was. Every day, unrelentingly, just the dumbest stuff by the absolute worst people. And what made it worse was knowing that we’d brought this on ourselves.

I wish Gregg Popovich nothing but the best as he steps away from the San Antonio Spurs bench. There was nothing quite like dealing with Pop. He resisted my every attempt to do this story on him, but in the end he kinda sorta cooperated. The man is one of a kind. Please enjoy. bit.ly/4m0KLoK
