I followed Invasion so poorly I didn’t realize that some of the characters were vampires until I watched the director q&a lol

Although INVASION is shot in a single take like FISH & CAT, the two movies are very different thematically and tonally.
INVASION seems to be inspired more by 70s and 80s sci-fi films like ROLLERBALL and LIQUID SKY crossed with the vampire genre.
Were you a fan of vampire films growing up? When did you first think of combining science fiction and a vampire narrative?
