Provide an update after some use and let us know what you think. I love my Metcal. It was a game changer to get a high quality solder iron.

Wrong, if there is another flight option I will take it. Even if it costs more. Through the 90's & 2000's I flew a lot of international and domestic flights and always United. Today... only when forced. How can you make that much money and still not figure out a website that is friendly to use? 2/2

I've added special accommodations for my parents travel on two of the airlines so far but the United site is just complete trash. Didn't work on mobile and even on my laptop there was a struggle that required closing the tab and starting again. Execs will say, "nobody chooses based on website". 1/2

Sounds like a consumable. There are different accounting rules for different tax jurisdictions but usually there are good examples of what must be a capex. I assume you are in the situation where you want few/no capex items. Also, one voice in my head says not to listen to me for accounting advice.

This month, the NWCPP talk was about CUDA Tile C++, something I worked on, and next month it's about std::execution -- the C++26 async model -- another thing I worked on! Quite a lot, actually. I'm planning to be there. Come say hi. nwcpp.org/Sept-2026.html #cpp

Lake Ontario's name comes from the Wyandot word Ontarí'io, which is typically translated as "beautiful lake". The Kanienʼkéha called it Katarokwi. Samuel de Champlain called it Lac de St. Louis. The name Lacus Ontario was first recorded in 1660 by Francis Creuxius.

President of MIT not mincing words today in @statnews.com www.statnews.com/2026/05/27/s...
So let me say it as clearly as I can: Without basic scientific research, supported by the kind of farsighted public investment that allows large-scale, undirected, curiosity-driven inquiry, the scientific pipeline will run dry.
In daily life, people may not feel the effects right away, or even in 10 years. But we will feel it. And when someone we love needs therapies that could have emerged but didn't or when other countries now
investing in science can launch new science-based industries or run their societies on vast resources of fusion energy or reap the benefits of quantum computing power or advanced medical breakthroughs, America will wish it sustained its leadership in scientific research here and now.
Sally Kornbluth is the president of MIT.

I don't know how to solve these problems. I've been involved with program committees at many conferences. I run a conference inside Intel. We had 65 submissions for 15 slots. We had blind reviews by the program committee. Any great thoughts? 6/6

Doing so potentially removes certain artistic qualities and bold statements. But I also see the need for blind submission reviews. Maybe my larger concern is AI critic votes. When given my abstract it parroted all of the FUD I'm trying to break down. It's assessment: I am naive in the field. 5/N
