Not sure if this is a hot take, but I think "Danger" and "Peril" in classic Paper Mario are actually pretty well-designed risk vs. reward mechanics. Sure, they're crazy strong, but using them to their fullest typically requires a lot of knowledge and careful planning.

I don’t understand people that make hating on things their entire personality. If you don’t like a movie/show/game/etc, it’s okay to have an opinion. But obsessing over it is ridiculous! Just focus on things you actually enjoy!! You don’t have to be miserable all the time

It's pretty crazy to me how the people clamoring for a 3D Mario think 5 years is a long time between games. Some game series can end up going a decade or even longer without anything. Heck, 2D Mario is an example of exactly that. New Soup U and Super Mario Bros Wonder were nearly 11 years apart.

tbh as sad as it is that there are probably no new original pmd games coming for the foreseeable future, i really do think super was a fantastic end for the series. it feels like both a love letter to the fans and an ambitious final sendoff. i am very happy the series finished strong with it.

Here's a statement I made in favor of a couple of Mario & Luigi: Brothership's more controversial elements on a video related to the topic. Just figured I should also share what I said here, since I've been an avid Brothership defender pretty much ever since it launched.

I know damn well that the people begging for a 3D Mario will just buy the game, look at it for 5 seconds and then start clamoring for the next thing because that's what hype culture has done to people.

If Partners in Time ever gets remade, I am kind of curious what HP values they would choose to use for enemies and bosses, since they do differ between the American release and other regions. (The numbers in parenthesis shown here are what they were changed to for other regions)

Someone put out a new TTYD retrospective and not even two minutes into the video, they crap on the remake for being $60 and say you can just download a rom. This mindset frustrates me because this is isn't just a simple remaster, it's a full ground-up remake that took 3-ish years to develop.

Stuff like this continues to make me feel like most of the Mario & Luigi series is underrated. Like, don't get me wrong, Bowser's Inside Story and Superstar Saga are great games, but the others deserve love too, and it frustrates me that those two are the only ones some people seem to talk about.
