The precipitous decline in Tesla sentiment among Dems isn't countered by a commensurate rise in sentiment among Rs - even though Rs views of Elon Musk have improved (chart in the comments). It would suggest that negative views of EVs among Rs trump Musk's membership in their tribe. Pun intended.

It’s a battle of political leverage. Who can use tariffs, retaliatory tariffs or sanctions to create more political pain for the other leader. Forcing them to capitulate or face undesired consequences. How crazy would it be if China, Mexico and/or Canada initiated tariffs before Trump took office

You are right. Probably not care, do nothing and guides us to impossible dreams while loosing the value of the dollar. I mean, the guy has invested in crypto, not just US dollars ... Pretty bad example for a President, as showing how not to follow the law in general .. and he gets away with it $$$
